We were passing by and decided to stop and check this place out! & we’re glad we did! my boyfriend and i loved the food and the restaurant was so cool! we were there around lunch so it was empty and the server was telling us all about the history of the building while we were waiting! loved the food & experience :)
This building is filled with such neat things! The pic is the outside of the building. The service and staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was delicious! Overall wonderful dining experience. Will definitely go again😊❤️‼️
May need reservations for the weekend evening. Fist time here and found the food to be rockin' and smoking. Spoke with a few people in town and was highly recommend. We look forward to our return visit with friends.
Location is great, old firepole had wife wanting to test it out, lol. Unfortunately they had no ribs today when we went 😕.
Sweet potato casserole was very yummy cheesy potatoes were also yummy. Sandwiches were good flavor was excellent smoked flavor, brisket and some nice bark spots on it, pulled pork was nice, sauces were very good. Only bad thing was the meat to bread ratio seemed improperly balanced.
Otherwise we traveled over an hour to get there, we would go back again....especially to try the ribs next time.
Coming to visit a town we were fortunate to find this Barbeque restaurant opened by former firefighters. The history and unique ambience was spectacular. The opportunity to listen to live bands in the outdoor eating area during the summer is enjoyable. Our waitress Trish was friendly and responsive. I wanted a microbrew IPA beer but I was not sure which one I wanted, so Trish brought me three samples. Wow. Then I wanted an appetizer but I told our waitress Trish that I didn't want fried jalepino peppers. The waitress told me they backed. The poppers were just spicy enough but not too much. Then we had the pulled pork which was tender and moist and the Brunswick Stew which had sausage, pork, chicken and ham. Amazing.
I then wanted a stout beer and once again our waitress surprised us with three samples. Truly amazing service. The decorations, music history of the area and tribute to the firefighters in a preserved firehouse was truly unique.
If you are looking for a unique BBQ restaurant with superior service, delicious food and reasonably prices, this is the place you can't miss.
Loved the atmosphere! Pulled pork sandwich topped with Mac and cheese was delicious and the scalloped cabbage. Will be back in the future to try the ribs!
4 &1/2 stars. BBQ tasted great with 3 different levels of sauce. Sides were good, beer was cold! Recommended!
Good food, decent prices, great service and atmosphere. What more could a person want? I highly recommend it!
