Balkan Richmond

This was an unexpected find, and we are so glad we came tonight!! Tommy is amazing, nicest and charismatic owner. He made me feel very welcome. The food was even better!! We tried the : Mixed grill for two Fried cheese Burek Cabbage salad Everything we got is a must try, like I seriously suggest you order these four things :-) you will not regret it. I wish we were from the area or we would visit them way more often, we'll just have to settle to eat here when we visit our daughter at VCU

Visited here last night, and we were so happy that we did! The waitress was helpful with all of her suggestions and even provided us with samples of wine we wanted. I read a review earlier, and someone was right, best French fries in richmond! But all the food was excellent! Great small atmosphere, and it feels cozy. Definitely try a dessert as well! All homemade and shareable! We will be back!

The best food in the city and some of the best food you'll ever have period. I visit Richmond often and try to eat here at least once each time. Ingredients, spice, prep are all perfect and their consistency is unmatched. Every aspect is phenomenal from the meat to the veg to the bread and their balkan potatoes are those by which you will judge all future creamy potatoes.

I wish I lived in Richmond so I could come here all the time. I came for the fried feta cheese and torte, but the coffee was divine and the Balkan Schnitzel was beautifully Spiced. I would buy a bucket of the feta spread that was on top. I think the dip with the fried feta was eggplant and red pepper, and it was also amazing. I hope to come back to visit soon. I strongly recommend.

This restaurant is awesome! My wife and I went here craving some authentic Balkan food and we were not disappointed. We live in North Carolina, and on our way back from Washington, D.C. we stopped and had lunch. Tomica is a super cool guy, the atmosphere is amazing and food is delicious! To all the Americans: if you haven't tried it yet, go for it you won't be disappointed. To all the Balkan people: just go for it! You won't find a restaurant on the East Coast that will be more authentic than this. It will bring you some good memories from your homeland.
