Love Food - The Cafe On The Hill

A warm welcome and friendly service. The restaurant had a brand-new menu, which had nice variety and plenty of vegetarian options and the food is also quite reasonably priced. Quality of the food was really good. The only minor (and it is very minor) is that the restaurant feels like a hotel restaurant rather than a standalone restaurant? This was highlighted by them, setting the tables for breakfast for the morning while we were still dining. However, the food and the service warrants this place to be a good standalone restaurant.

Went for a Friday lunch. Noticed the greeter looked my wife up and down. Thought that's a bit unnecessary. The restaurant was void of any diners, we were the only people there at 12:30. After an hour a couple of other parties arrived. The atmosphere was still not great despite the slightly loud music. The service from our waitress was excellent. The food did take a long time to arrive, was over 35 minutes. However all the food and drinks were wonderfully presented. Everything was very tasty too, really enjoyed my meal.

Beautifully designed restaurant, 144 On The Hill Restaurant and Bar is part of the Richmond Hill hotel with separate entrance. You can start in the bar outside or in the club type rooms before dinner. As we were staying the the hotel we decided to have dinner here and it was delicious in a bright and comfortable room. Lovely service and our highlights included the burrata, salmon and the pina colada cheesecake.

Spent the evening at a private drinks party for friends celebrating their wedding weekend. The staff could not be more wonderful, providing drinks, passed appetizers throughout the night. They were attentive and thoughtful, especially Nida, who made sure everyone always had a drink! The ambience is a 10 for a nice summer evening outside on the terrace and a stones throw away from some of the most gorgeous views of Richmond park and the Thames!

Located on the picturesque Hill Richmond, 144 never fails to impress. Having visited multiple times, we are consistently drawn back to its charm. One aspect that truly stands out is their afternoon tea, which surpasses all expectations. Impeccable service is their hallmark, as each member of the staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel truly cherished. Moreover, the addition of a carefully curated cocktail menu enhances the overall experience, leaving us with a desire to return time and time again.
