Located in the downstairs of the newer Tryp hotel in Lawrenceville, the Brick House is a comfortable venue with interesting and delicious food, and a well stocked and well-tended bar. We showed up early enough so that the place was practically empty, but really enjoyed our dinner. The pickle board was an interesting choice, and the flatbreads were almost crunchy, but with novel ingredients and really tasty.
Great service, reasonable prices. Great ambiance. We had the “TRYP Yinzer” which had Pierogies, Strip District Kielbasa, scrambled eggs, Vermont cheddar, bacon and sourdough toast. Enjoyed everything but the kielbasa (I’m not a fan of sausages and should have asked for all bacon). The “Wild Mushroom Omelet” was outstanding, with Oyster, Shitake and Crimini mushrooms, whipped goat cheese and chives. Served with potatoes and onions.
Loved it! Housed off the lobby of Tryp hotel in Lawrenceville, the building previously was a trade school. You'll find features of that throughout, such as lockers in the Cafe area and a repurposed gym floor on the wall of the restaurant. They host live music on weekdays and weekends. Eclectic menu and organic wines. I highly suggest checking it out!
I recently dined at the historic restaurant, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was charming and cozy, with a rustic vibe that truly made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The history of the restaurant was also a highlight for me, as a brick mason, I was particularly impressed with the building's structure and the way it was beautifully preserved.
But what really stood out for me was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Cody. Not only was he incredibly friendly and attentive, but he also took the time to explain the history of the restaurant to us in great detail, which made the experience all the more special.
The quality of food was also outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and expertly crafted, making for a truly memorable meal. And to top it off, the prices were very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service.
In short, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere, history, service, quality of food, and price all deserve a five-star rating. And a special shout-out to Cody, who made the evening even more enjoyable with his fantastic service. Keep up the great work! Five Stars!
I wanted to try this restaurant because I had spent a summer living in Russia during college and had never been able to find khachapuri on the menu at any other restaurants in the states. I was not disappointed!! All of the food was incredibly delicious and made me so nostalgic. And the Georgian wines too!! Amazing. I'm telling everyone I know about this place.
There are a few solid reasons that I visited Brick Shop 3 times in one month. 1. The atmosphere is balanced - cool and welcoming, fab modern updates to the classic interiors, perfect for a date night or meeting friends - and super COVID safe, too!. 2. The drinks and food are seriously so good. Fairly priced for the luxurious quality, I had the best wings and the best cocktail I’ve ever had here. Not exaggerating. We also had quite a few allergies and dietary restrictions at our table, and the menu was clear and we felt totally safe eating here. A rare find! 3. THE STAFF! The attention and service we received was so personal and professional. Anthony, our server and Scott, the house manager are some of the best in the biz, and we would literally come back just for them.
The food and the vibe was good, I only gave 4 star because the waitress kept asking if I have finished my food! 😬
What a great spot! They have Live Jazz on Saturday nights and it’s a great atmosphere!
We can wait til the summer and the roof top lounge opens! They definitely need to have live music on the roof top as well!
Scott has done a fabulous job making this a trendy spot in Lawrenceville!!!!! If you haven’t been there, you need to plan a night out at The Brick Shop. We travel 45 minutes from Beaver County and it’s well worth it!
We had the white wine flight with our dinner which was all phenomenal. Lexi was both out bar tender and server yet was always available with a smile for questions and suggestions. We werent sure what to expect and everything was excellent. Service, food, and drinks.....5 stars
The wait staff was friendly, the coffee was hot and satisfying. The breakfast sandwich left something to be desired, but the khachapuri was on point. This is a good place to stop if you are looking for a decent breakfast on a cold day. This is the hotel restaurant though so there isn't much atmosphere.
