Friendly staff and great food, but if you have a wheelchair or need an accessible entrance, use the entrance from the street with help from a stranger to open the door. There are only stairs from the Union Trust Building's lobby (their wheelchair lift is being used for storage at the moment - well, for at least the last 7 months). If you work in the building and can't do stairs, to go all the way around to the street door, you need to go out of one of the accessible sides and up the hill, around the corner, then almost to the building entrance on that side. The door button does not work. Tell them ahead of time to put your pick-up order on a lower shelf if needed.
Note: the employees are great. Accessibility is a corporate issue. Employees do what they can and go out of their way to help.
The sandwich was great, great atmosphere with hip-hop music and staff sharp. I believe there is a Jimmy John's not far from my place, I will be going there for lunch tomorrow. Thanks, David
First time in a Jimmy John's. Service was fast and friendly. I wasn't sure what I was getting on my sandwich but it ended up being fantastic. I left it up to the maker and they did not disappoint.
There were signs out saying they had no turkey. But it turns out they did have turkey. Other than that, it was a standard Jimmy John's experience. Fast, fairly fresh, and pretty good.
Four stars.
This place is very busy during the day. The people who work here are the friendliest staff around. Honestly, i had to wait, like 2 minutes, if that for my sandwich and the team member apologized to me, which was not necessary. Note to all the customers, they have a top jar at the cash register, put some money in it! Where else can you go and get kind service like this?
This place has some good sandwiches, but the employees are what make this place in particular great. A few weeks ago, I went for lunch and totally forgot that I'd left my money at home. I was on my way out of the door when one of the employees called me back in and said that he would give me his employee meal. He made my day! 😊 I was super hungry because I forgot to eat before work. He was so considerate. I always tell my coworkers and hotel guests that story and send them there when they ask for nearby eats.
I eat here several times a month because it's fast, cheap, and really good. One of my co-workers was ordering the same thing for a while, and one of the workers noticed and suggested he order it another way. He ended up with the same thing he always gets but at a much cheaper price.
Good for a "freaky fast" bite when you're downtown. They have an assembly line of staff for lunch to get sandwiches out ridiculously fast. The signs on the wall provide decent lunch atmosphere. Their sandwiches aren't the greatest delis sandwiches in the world, but they get the job done.
Food is always good when I order takeout but today I decided to order a drink along with my sandwich because it was a warm day outside. Went back to work to pull out a nice warm can of soda from the bag. Ugh.
Otherwise a 5* rating. Chill the drinks JJ's
The Grant Street, Pgh., team is AWESOME!!! They filled a huge last minute catering order for a work related meeting that seemed like an impossibility. They did it professionally, quickly and flawlessly!! I also would like to thank the Liberty Ave., Pgh. branch for assisting me in contacting the Grant St. branch. Thank you all for going the distance to make it happen!!
