Been here quite a few times and never disappointed. Sauce has a nice sweetness to it and the crust and cheese go perfectly with it. Hoagies are good. Buffalo chicken tenders are bomb. The breadsticks are fluffy and buttery. FoodFather Approved!
Not bad pizza and I don't like burgh pizza. Contrary to other opinions the service was fast and friendly. I will come back.
Awesome pizza and great service. We used their order online feature, and placed our order 24 hours in advance. They had four delicious pizzas ready right on time.

Giovanni's is so delicious. The crust is always a prefect combination of crispy and soft, and the sweet sauce is unlike no other. This place is the best. Also the chicken marsala is delicious. They have a great selection of beers if you dine in. Mmmmm awesome......the cheesy twists are sinfully good too. Yum"
You take the good, you take the bad.... ... you take them both and there you have, Giovanni's. Ok, so I've had mixed experiences with Giovanni's. First time ordering, I placed an order for a large cheese pizza, and tried to give the girl my name and number which she said she didn't need. So, of course, my girlfriend goes to pick up said pizza and it was non existent. She waits 15 min for them to make it, and they give her a free 2 liter. A nice gesture. Anyway, the pizza was middle of the road, and made me wonder why they got such good reviews. Fast forward a few months, and tried their margherita pizza based on good reviews. Now this is the pizza that I can see them winning awards with. The crust was perfect. Crunchy outside, and perfectly soft and chewy inside. The sauce was a little sweet, but you could taste the fresh tomatos. Really a delicious pizza. I would order this again for sure.
Best pizza there is. Hands down. Also their pasta dishes are incredible. Never a disappointment.
Best Pizza Around. Pizza Scale: 10 out of 10. The sauce is sweet, but it works. Try the Chicken and Feta gourmet pizza - it is excellent. I enjoyed some items on the gourmet menu that are no longer there (like the Pittsburgh Pizza), but the remaining choices are all good.
The meals are well worth the price. One meal is more than enough for two meals. The Mediterranean makes my mouth water just reading the menu.
Family Place, Friendly. I am a vegetarian snob at time but love this place. Big portions, cheap and good.. Nothing fancy. Owner is friendly. His kid/grandkid (?) was helping the night I was there. An adorable polite 10 year old girl. Left me a good impression. Try this place.
Most of their food is pretty good, if you can get past their unwillingness to make any modifications.
The dough was so fresh with a nice soft but chewy texture. The sauce was very nice with a strong sweetness that complemented the great toppings, particularly the sausage. However, the spinach and cheese rolls are what made this place stand out; excellent herbs and spices used with a nice buttery dough to encapsula it all. I highly recommend this place!
Not bad. Pizza had a bunch of flavor, and the Italian hoagie was pretty good. My only complaint was that the pizza was a little bit under done for me. It was 100% cooked. I would have just preferred for it to be a little more well done. Other than my own personal preference, it was very good. Pepperoni had some good spice to it.
There isn't any indoor seating which was a bit misleading based on the photos.
But the pizza came out in a out 10 minutes and we carried it home. The supreme was very good. We'll definitely pick up again in the future
We were visiting from out of town and were searching for a good gluten and dairy free pizza! Giovanni’s hit the spot and Was easily the best GF DF pizza I have had! The service was great, our pizza were done within 8 minutes and the staff was very friendly. We are already making plans to return the next time we are in Pitt!
My Ex-girlfriend's favorite pizza spot. The owner has always been super nice to me, he even remembers my first name even though I might get pizza from there only 10 times a year now since I live in Lawrenceville.
The other night I was in the ER and waiting for hours so I ordered food. I got the penne a la vodka with chicken and it by far was the best vodka sauce I have ever had.
Their pizza is out of this world!
Personally, your pizza is 1,000 times better than Papa John's, and YOU guys even have Garlic Butter Sauce!
On our first night we ordered your Meats Pizza with the Garlic Butter Sauce, and my fiancé ordered something else with your Marinara Sauce.
We even ordered from you guys on another night and ordered 2 orders of chicken tenders, 2 orders of large fries, and an order of onion rings.
If we ever GP back to Pittsburgh and want Pizza, we will without a doubt order from Giovanni's 🍕 & 🍝

Food is delicious. Love the bruschetta and garlic toast. Honey balsamic salad dressing is a must try. Had the mixed greens on the grilled chicken salad. Sauce on pizza is a sweeter sauce than I'm accustomed to in Pgh, but perfectly made pie. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Parking is street parking only but they deliver in the south hill s.
Ordered eggplant parmasan and it was delicious! Restaurant quality and enough for two meals. Came with nice salad (not just a bowl of lettuce) made with crispy field greens and toppings. Homemade Italian dressing was very good too. It's not like the menu says; not rolled with ricotta, just has cheese and sauce but that's all it needed (and pasta side with it too). They should probably change what menu says. Will definitely order from them again!
Best pizza in Pittsburgh, love it! Great gluten free options as well.
