Pittsburgh friends turned us on to Paris 66 Bistro while visiting, and the four of us went for dinner. And it's a gem. The food was excellent. There were accommodations for my husband's gluten allergy. There's something for nearly everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-free options or adaptations. (There will likely be off-menu specials, too.) We enjoyed a full dinner, appetizers, wine, and dessert. Meal prices align with better restaurants with items at various price points. We received full attention from our servers without it feeling overbearing. The atmosphere is lovely. We felt like we were in France and even got to practice a little French with the owner, who is French (though French isn't needed). There is a parking garage near, beside/behind the restaurant, and street parking. As a closing note, we're a gay couple who felt welcome. I highly recommend considering Paris 66 Bistro.

A taste of France in Pittsburgh! We “splurged” and treated ourselves to this dining experience. First, the atmosphere is spectacular. Anyone that loves France or French culture will immediately fell swept away by the authentic vibe of the place. The food was delicious! We had the Brie w/caramelized onions and honey, short ribs, chicken confit, a side of fries and crème brûlée. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have the boudin blanc (appetizer) but the rest of the food made up for it: well seasoned and deep flavors. Special thanks to Monsieur Rongier (the owner) who helped us immensely to plan a possible dinner party for an anniversary! He’s amazing! Thanks for this dining experience!

Our group of five chose Paris 66 Restaurant for its comfortable outdoor dining, reputation and its exceptionalism in French Cuisine, service, ambience at a location that was convenient to all. Our waiter Nathan was exceptional, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, attentive, patient, understanding, courteous, gracious and thoughtful with a pleasant and enjoyable sense of humor. All other staff that we encountered are equally professional, courteous and kind. The French food was superb, well prepared, and presented artfully and in good taste. Our sincere gratitude, appreciation and thankfulness to the owner, chief, our waiter Nathan and other staff members, all of whom deserve the best of comments from us and all other customers who know the value and are able to appreciate the quality of the services the Staff provides at a level that is truly above and beyond the commonplace with exceptionally prepared appetizers, entrees and desserts in French Cuisine.

I've been wanting to try Paris 66 bistro for a while now. What a great restaurant. Paris in Pittsburgh. Try the escargot. We all had trout but really everything looks good. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you pick.

Claiming to be a true French restaurant in Pittsburgh, we had the chance to try it when some friends came to town and we also happened to get a gift certificate to it. The dinner menu was not very appealing but they had a Sunday brunch menu that was, and so we made reservations and tried them out. The four-star rating that I decided to give them is a mix of the good things and not so good things that we saw and experienced. We’ll start with Nathan who was our server. He was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the menu – able to explain things to all of us – and was not intimidated by our questions and sometimes quirky sense of humor. He checked on us frequently throughout the meal and made sure our water glasses were full and if we needed anything. Definitely five-star service. The food was very good as well. Everything we tried was cooked well and generously seasoned. Being French food, butter and fat dominated – which is not a bad thing and you should expect this. On the other hand, there were a few misses. Everything is basically a la carte. When you read the menu, you will see them mention that a salad comes on the side. That is simply not true. There is a garnish of well dressed and tasty lettuce leaves on the side, but it’s not a salad. If you want side veggies, you have to order them separately. We did that, and both the Asparagus in Hollandaise sauce and Haricot Verts in a butter garlic sauce were executed very well (although the beans were not trimmed at all so we did have some stems to deal with). The Eggs Benedict were cooked well, but, again, were minimalist: Two eggs on a baguette, with a squish of Hollandaise Sauce on top. The bigger miss was the prices. This place is super expensive, even with the general inflation these days. Each of our plates was pushing close to $20. Glasses of wine were in the $15-20 range as well. Now, if these were super premium wines that might have been Ok, but we are talking about Aperitifs like Kir and wines like Beaujolais! We ended up spending around $200 for the four of us for brunch! Couple that with the minimalist approach to the food and the great service and quality food balance it out but still come down on the less than great side. ==== Thank you for the prompt response, Monsieur Rongier. The nice thing about reviews is that they are personal opinions. By being that, they are neither necessarily correct, nor incorrect. While I may agree or disagree with you, and you with me. I stand by my review.

Amazing restaurant, must come back to try other dishes. My fav was: The rainbow trout & the mussels cooked with garlic, parsley, butter. We also enjoyed the French onion soup, snails in garlic was good with side of fries that was tasty, & Steak was cooked perfectly 👌🏽 goat cheese salad was nice. Must leave space for the chocolate mousse.

I debated even writing this review as the food and service are always spectacular. This particular trip to Paris 66 started out the same, food and service spectacular. . throughout the evening the food and drinks remained phenomenal and the service slipped to below average to just bad.. Don't really know what happened, but will DEFINITELY go back as I believe something was amiss with our waiter. We all can have a bad day. I highly recommend Paris 66 as I've been going there since about 2009, you won't be disappointed.

Had a decent meal, first time eating French food. Overall fun. Foie gras is nice and “appetizing”, a bit shy on quantity though. Demi-glacé sounds so tasty on paper but it tastes a bit boring. the shank was cooked thoroughly so that is all right. Waiter is great, filling up my water all the time and not bothering me while I am eating. Left this review because I had even more fun reading the owner debate the one-star reviews in French. Keep it up, man.

Me and my wife stopped in for a late dinner they were more than happy to accommodate us. We both ordered the steak tartare frites. We each received a very generous portion, which was delicious. For dessert I ordered what was definitely the best Creme Brule I have had some time. I included a picture of the owner( who was an exceptionally awesome individual) making Crêpes Suzette for another table, it had such a remarkable presentation that I had to include it. Overall excellent experience, will be back.

This little charming French restaurant buried in the midst of a gentrifying Pittsburgh neighborhood is such a gem! Incredibly warm and attentive servers, excellent food and cozy ambience. Full of Parisian flavor!
