I visited this place for the first time for my birthday and everything was absolutely incredible. Our waiter, Mark, did an amazing job explaining everything on the menu and even gave me a special birthday cupcake. He was awesome. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. The portions were big so come with your appetite! I’m definitely looking forward to dining here again.

Finally tried this place after hearing positive comments from a coworker who comes here often. The high expectations that I had going in were exceeded. Service was prompt and professional, atmosphere was clean and upscale, but the food was the star of the show. I ordered the chicken parmigiana as my appetizer which blew away anything I’ve in the past at other Italian restaurants. The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and the cheeses were rich and authentic. For the pasta course, we upgraded to the cheese wheel, table side side service which great. The vodka sauce pasta was also delicious and some people at our table preferred it. Portions are generous, so you are guaranteed to leave full. I’ll definitely be coming back again in the future. Next time I will try to save some room for dessert.

Called about 20 minutes before and was able to get reservations. We were seated on the third floor. The waiter and all the servers were very friendly and helpful. They are known for their meat dishes but they also have a great seafood dish and a nice selection of vegetarian dishes. The portions are quite substantial, so order accordingly. The bread is delicious, but don't be tempted to eat it all. Save room for the main course. I think this is the best tasting/quality food for a restaurant in the Pittsburgh area.

We were a walk inn. We have never been here before. Clean bathrooms, friendly organized team as a staff. The food looked amazing. Bread and the spread were my favorite. We ordered a meatball plate sereved by a fun, energetic man named Chewy. The meatball needed more flavor, kind of bland. Price was ok and will go back with a proper reservation.

We had an amazing experience at Alla Famiglia! The food was amazing! The portions are huge! The service was fantastic! Beth was our server and explained everything from cocktails to the menu and even the history of the restaurant! She was knowledgeable on everything! The atmosphere is great! I highly recommend that if you haven't been you must go!

We were treated to dinner by a really good friend for dinner. The service was exceptional, from pouring the wine to serving each course of our meal. I had the margarita chicken and was amazed by the tenderness and flavor of my meal. My husband got the milanese, and was amazed on the portion and how great it was. On the pricey side, but well worth it.

Arguably some of the best food I’ve had in Pittsburgh. From start to finish, just an incredible dining experience. Our server Robert, who is also the in-house sommelier was informative and helpful. We started with the gigantic meatball and I could tell right away this place was different. Whatever you do, get the meatball. I’m not even a huge salad person but I had two helpings of the salad because it was incredible. We opted for the cacio e pepe for the pasta course and the tableside prep was fun but again, another home run of a dish. For dinner I opted for chicken pizziaolo while my wife went with the filet with gorgonzola. While my dish was still delicious, I admittedly had a bit of FOMO after tasting my wifes filet. There was a dessert special of strawberry pretzel salad cheesecake and if any proud Pittsburgher passes that up, shame on you! ;) -very rarely do places live up to the hype but Alla blew the doors off. Sure, it’s not cheap for certain but money well spent IMO. Can’t wait to get back!

We had a nice dinner here with excellent food. Mussel and stuffed banana pallet were delicious, the veal with crab was amazing, which was cooked to the perfect extent. The raspberry tiramisu was a little bit too sweet tho.

I was looking for fancy places to share my anniversary with and got recommended this place on Google. What a recommendation! Everything about this place, from its food, to its decor, to its service, was top notch. Sure it's expensive, but you definitely get your money's worth. The pasta was rich and creamy. The salad was bold and refreshing. The chicken was cooked to mouth melting perfection. All of their cheeses are definitely cared for, and the service couldn't be any more accommodating. If you're looking for good, authentic Italian food, look no further.

My husband who is extremely picky was very happy with his meal. It was perfectly cooked. The portions of everything are enormous. I'm sure any meat eater would love this restaurant. The drinks were great. The vegetarian options have definitely improved so I'm grateful. I did not come back for a long time because I did not know they had an additional menu for vegetarians that is not posted online. I tried the vegetarian Diavola dish. However, it was only spicy. It was a bit bland and needed a lot more salt. That and the service were my only complaints. It was still an enjoyable meal. The house salad was delicious. The interior is beautiful. Great renovation. The strawberry tiramisu is highly recommended
