It was all you can eat crab night so the wait was over 2 hours. But I waited... The bar service was slow which could have passed the time rather smoothly. Overall...still enjoyed the meal. Drinks were not strong... stick to beer and wine.
We had the jerk chicken and the Caribbean curry chicken and they were great as always and their rum punch is great as well.
I should also note that the staff was once again excellent.
We were in another part of town trying to find something to eat and found Reef right off South Street. This restaurant was perfect, they seem to be down staff so we sat at the bar where they Bartender was so attentive and helpful. The food was OMG good. I love Oxtails and these were some of THE BEST OXTAILS EVER!!! Tender, juicy, full of flavor!!! My husband’s curry shrimp were very good as well and he said his drink was nice and strong. We will be back, and would recommend this to anyone seeking some of the best Jamaican food outside of Jamaica
Great food, Great staff, Wonderful Atmosphere. From the hostess the bartender to the wait staff, everyone was friendly and respectful! Our waiter Andrew did an amazing job! They just need to put Yams back on the menu! Food is Fantastic!!
The drinks were a hit. Wish the glass was bigger, lol. The food was delicious. We shared the food family style. The crab cakes were not crabcake size. It was more crabcake bites (small little ball). Upstairs lounge was cool, clean and the dj that night was on point. This was overall a chill spot for a Saturday night in Philly.
We came 30 minutes before closing and the staff was nothing but welcoming. They were quick to get orders in. Our waitress, April, was GREAT. My friend ordered a drink and didn’t like it. April took it back and reassured us it was no big deal. Great customer service. The food was AMAZING. I cleared my plate, all of my friends took their food in a box home. Great portion sizes. Drinks were strong, but sweet. I’ll be back next week 😃 Amazing. 10/10 will recommend.
The food and customer service was 8/10 I got the mussels for appetizer with the oxtails, rice and beans with cabbage.Drinks 9/10. The only thing I didn’t like was the extra charges which were liquor fee, service fee and tax fee. The pandemic over.
Oxtails and short ribs was gooood! My drink wasn't very strong buy our meal was good. We went upstairs to the club part and danced all night.
Loved the music. The food was bomb and the drinks were 👌🏾. Was actually my first time eating Caribbean food and I was not disappointed. The Jamaican patties were soooooooo good and that Shrimp N' Curry Fried Rice 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Came here on a Wednesday for happy hour. The drink I got was so good! I also got the beef/chicken patty and roti with curry shrimp. I didn’t really enjoy the curry but everything else was fine.
I also added my friends oxtail fries that she ordered (because I stole some) they also could have been better but it wasn’t bad.
We really enjoyed the food! My husband had the Rasta Pasta and I had the oxtail. His pasta was good! My oxtail, cabbage and rice was really good. The flavor was everything, but my oxtail were really really fatty. They forgot about our appetizer so we asked them to take it off the bill. Other than that we enjoyed it and definitely will return to give them another try.
The food is delicious with a nice atmosphere! It’s a bit pricey so it adds up quick! I ate the spicy shrimp appetizer and although it was tasty, it was very hot. Even for me who loves spicy food. For my entree I ordered oxtails. They were tender and juicy. So was my boyfriend’s entree, the beef ribs. Their mac n cheese is very good too! I ordered a rum punch drink that was very tasty. I ordered a shot of Tito’s Vodka and one shot was $10. That was a bit pricey for just one shot. Other than that it was great and our server gave excellent service.
