These doughnuts are a must when in The Reading Terminal. Famous for their bacon maple doughnuts but the key lime pie is my favorite. They make them right there in front of you - which just makes you hungrier lol. Sooo many fantastic flavors and yes they offer coffee for sale as well.
They were some of the best donuts I’ve ever had, and they were reasonably priced. I was afraid the fruit-filled ones, like the strawberry shortcake, would be overly sweet, but they use natural fruit and not artificial stuff. They were sweet and tart at the same time. If it makes sense, it was the perfect combination. We came back on Sunday to get more before we left, and we’re super bummed to see that they were closed.
Best doughnuts ever! Soo good we had to go back twice to get more! Super fresh, spongy and tasty! Must stop at the market.
WOW!!!!! don't go here if hungry or on a diet. The food is incredible!!!! The variety is mind blowing impressive. I left with a cart full of treats. I wanted to try a little of everything ans all of it was Incredible.
We had 3 different quiche pies, they were creamy and delicious. Easy for morning breakfast.
Also in our basket we had:
A cherry Crumble cake
Banana bread
Blueberry lemon bread
Loaf of sourdough
Pecan rolls
Cinnamon rolls( another easy breakfast heat and eat)
Insanely great donuts. Set in a great food market. This place is all the way at the back. Can see the staff making donuts on site. Choice is huge which can be confusing. Get half dozen to make it easier!
Another Philly mainstay at the Reading Terminal Market. Their sticky buns and pies are the best!!
This place is a 'must stop' when in Reading Terminal Market. Incredible baked goods and you can watch them actually make several of them. The doughnuts are incredible and best whoopie pie I've ever eaten.
After trying their donuts, I tried their carrot cake and pistachio muffins. Best carrot cake I’ve had! But not a fan of the pistachio muffin though. They do not make any sugar free cakes/sweet, so if you are on a restricted diet, you won’t find anything here.
The donuts are ridiculously reasonably priced, especially for everything being homemade and made in front of you while you're waiting in line. It's 1/2 dozen for $6 and ever flavor I got was delicious and true to what it was supposed to taste.
Another winner in the Reading Market. Definitely recommend the cinnamon apple loaf. It's very good and sells out fast! Also recommend the cinnamon apple bread-Great for sandwiches or French toast.
They have an array of pies including shoo fly, whoopie pies, pastries, jams, just about anything you can think of from an Amish bakery. Most baked goods hold up well for traveling. If you want authentic Amish bakery in Phila then look no further than here.
