The menu of cheese streaks hoogies is great. There is a variety to choose from to create your own masterpiece.
The atmosphere is very neighborhood, from the staff to the music to the customers. This place is welcoming to all and quite laid back.
I look forward to playing with the different options on the menu every time I visit.
The Philly cheesesteak was marvelous.. really really good . They have a bar in the back . I would just say they need to update the decor. But food goood
NO SEATING. Half sub $11, whole $20. A hole in the wall type joint in north Philly. One half cheesesteak joint, another half seemed to be a bar area. Not sure if they serve food. Cheesesteak was awesome and what you’d expect from a classic cheesesteak. Staff knew what they were doing and probably get huge numbers during busy season. Would definitely get a cheesesteak from here again.
My experience here was just about as good as it could get. All the people inside are very friendly. It was near shift change and they squeezed us in so we didn’t have to wait. We all greatly appreciated that. Everything went smooth and the food was great. The bread was not soggy, it was pretty fresh. Would recommend to anyone. Might have trouble parking that’s about it. Great spot 👍
I love love love the lady who made our sandwiches. I'm sad I didn't get her name, she had locks that were colored on the tips. She made my 1st time experience everything, she made our sandwiches perfect, she made great suggestions, and made us feel good about what we're buying and eating.
For a nice late night stop there was certainly a good line to wait in. Steak was perfect; pickles, American cheese, and cheese whiz. They pretty much slathered the roll with whiz. The meat was cooked together with the American and everything went nicely in a tasty roll. Added pickles. I needed a break from the hot peppers personally. They have a traditional beer selection and what looks like old school cocktails. I would have this over Dallesandros, Pats, or Genos. They had a very nice meat and onion pile going and just the perfect speed that night!
This time we went here and it was packed. We waited an hour and a half but trust me when I tell you.....it was well worth it. We have a comparison with a different cheesesteak place and there was no competition they have a great taste and flavor. The steak was seasoned and well proportioned with meat to cheese ratio. Will always go back as long as the quality is good.
I’ve been to many cheesesteak spots across Philly so Max’s was next on my list. The cheesesteak was great they don’t have rib eye steaks they use sirloin and it’s the ground beef style but it is very good. I got mine wit wiz onions and green peppers like i always do. The employees working inside are funny and super friendly. And this place is cash only but there is a ATM inside. The line is very long I waited 40 mins and the line was not moving quickly for the amount of people. But I enjoyed my steak. There is also a bar you can sit inside of as well.
The food was yummy, the service not so much. The location was..well let me say not to my liking. Would I eat there again, yes. Just make sure you have cash. Also, you may luck up & find parking.
Great sandwich from great people. If I lived in Philly I'd be here everyday!
