2 level Sbuxx located in the heart of UPenn campus. Can become incredibly crowded. Most people order ahead online; giant alphabetized order pickup area streamlines process. Upstairs: somewhat quiet seating area. Centrally located on Woodland Walk pedestrian path through campus.
All of the baristas are very sweet and helpful given their hectic busy days with students/hospital staff/ etc. I have had consistently great experiences and especially appreciate the barista Thetis they are the sweetest!
I go almost daily and they are mostly great and very kind.
However, today I received hair on my food and my mobile order was late. Try to avoid their mobile order rush time between 9 AM to 10 AM, at worst I have waited 40 minutes.
One of the better Starbucks for serving good coffee with a smile. The late hours with plenty of seating with good views are an added plus.
The staff was very nice and gave me a delicious mint tea and croissant that lifted me into a great morning.
One of the most crowded Starbucks you can find in the morning, swamped by college students. Be sure to order ahead in that case(>15mins). The staff was patient enough to answer questions though.
Update: this location has gotten way better over the years. All the baristas are nice and get my drink right. Thanks for improving!
Old review: The baristas forget my order half of the times I go there and tell me someone else took it. Also, one of the baristas questioned me as if I didn't place an order and was trying to steal, he stopped giving me a hard time once I tried to show him my receipt, and then he said that he couldn't do anything about it. Today was especially bad, two of them were rolling their eyes at me when I inquired about my coffee in which I waited 25 minutes for. They forgot my drink and there wasn't a line. I'm giving two stars because a third barista intervened, apologized and made my drink for me. At least there are a few quality workers out there.
Always so nice in the mornings!
Visited with a friend the prices are not worth paying in my opinion. The atmosphere is good it never seems to be crowded.
The staff here are always funny and professional. Yesterday, I waited for a drink for about 15 minutes during the busiest time of day, and they gave me a free drink voucher for next time. Great customer service at an extremely high-volume Starbucks.
