Great Place to watch Manchester United games great crowd , service ,food and beer
Brilliant place to hang out and watch a game loads of beers on tap and good food
Was looking for Irish pubs while in town, mission was to have a proper pint of Guinness in a select few pubs. By far this was the best!! Hit it every time and food was A+++++++ will definitely come back!!!
Great Irish bar, good food and fast service. Their Shepard's pie was really good. It was a very crowded sat evening and the sevice was really fast. Oh and the cuban was a hit too.
Great service and a really lively place on matchdays. The caesar salad that we got though, couldn’t match up to the ambience. The chicken tasted like leather and the taste was not good either. The fries were pretty good.
Food was good but not hot. We were in a hurry because we had theater tickets so we didn't send it back. The buffalo wings are some of the best I've had! they were hot and meaty. Fish was warm but chips were tepid. Steak Frites was flavorful but lukewarm. Cider and beer recommendations were both terrific and our server was very knowledgeable. First time we've experienced lukewarm food at Black Sheep but we'll be back.
Great place to grab a drink and a quick bite to eat. Their fried chicken sandwich with habanero mayo is great.
My esteemed clients and I were out to a bespoke corporate dinner when we were rudely interrupted by a young gentleman in a b*ndana whom strictly enforced a rule that we were not to season our beverages with the salt and pepper that was readily available to us at our bespoke table. We were disgusted by they/them actions. Our table has a refined palate that unfortunately calls for more seasoned cocktails. However, the chicken tenders were Devine. Some of the best Donovan has ever experienced. Cheers.

The Black Sheep, the chicken tenders stole the show with their divine taste, leaving a lasting impression. Unfortunately, a somber note was added to the evening as a colleague experienced an unexpected health issue, possibly related to a lack of pepper seasoning available for beverages. This unexpected turn highlighted a peculiar aspect of the restaurant—its reluctance to allow patrons to season their drinks.
While the chicken tenders exceeded expectations, the absence of a seasoning option for beverages created an unexpected challenge. The desire for a bespoke dining experience clashed with the limitations imposed by the establishment. Despite the unique flavors on the plate, the overall atmosphere fell short of the bespoke environment anticipated by discerning diners.
In reflection, The Black Sheep left a memorable mark with its culinary delights, but the incident with the beverage seasoning revealed a discrepancy between expectations and reality. Balancing the exquisite flavors with a more accommodating approach to personal preferences could elevate The Black Sheep's dining experience for patrons seeking a truly bespoke environment.

Cozy pub with a lovely fireplace. Warm, inviting atmosphere. Flatbread with guacamole, avocado and roasted scallions was delicious! Excellent service too. Highly recommend.
Great place,
You have to come here,
Friendly,
Guinness on draft
Great Irish bar. I had the Shepherd's pie (should be Cottage pie as it was beef instead of mutton, but still excellent) and a Guinness Stout.
Nice ambiance, great staff and great location near to Rittenhouse Square.
The black sheep is a nice low key pub. The place typically gets pretty crowded. The area is small but the service is good and the drink menu is large. They have a pretty standard meal menu consisting of your typical pub food. The bathrooms are kept clean and the seats (unless you get a booth) are just stools so no backrests. The lighting is dim but that’s pretty standard for a pub. Overall this is exactly what you want from a pub experience. I would definitely come back. Overall score is a 25/30. A great place for a romantic date night in the city.
