Good food, good portion sizes, loud, efficient but not spectacular service. My biggest issue is it was so loud that it made conversation challenging. We were there on a busy Friday night so perhaps mid-week would be better.
We had the lettuce cups and spring rolls for starters, which were both okay. The shrimp Pad Thai was very good with a fair amount of shrimp, good flavor and a decent portion size. The chicken curry was really tasty as well and not too spicy. The rice and vegetables was good, again very large portion.
The cocktails were creative and strong.
Definitely worth going.

It was a very pleasant experience. Thai 72 has now matched my other favorite upper west side Thai restaurant, Sala Thai. One of my favorite dishes, grilled/ BBQ chicken with crispy skin with a side of sticky rice, was matched and quality. Although the prices were about the same. Now. I have a second place I'm more than happy to go to. We also started off with the crispy puffs, a combination of potato and chicken wrapped in a pastry. Also delicious. The fresh Brewed green tea is also a pleasant way to start the meal

Thai 72 dishes up delicious food across the board and serves some of the best curry puff appetizers I have had at any restaurant.
You can’t go wrong with the Chicken Pad Thai which is the measure of any Thai restaurant worth its salt. My second go to is the Pineapple fried rice.
The drinks are exceptional as well. The Thai mule served with pomegranate is refreshing and hits the spot every time.

Great place to grab dinner if you’re in the area! They were able to fit us in last minute, I got the pineapple friend rice which was flavored great and had just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely a repeat spot

We walked to this place from Central Park after a recommendation - this was a celebratory lunch for my daughter’s graduation. The walk had anyways made us build our appetite and it’s was definitely worth it. I would recommend this place strongly if you want to have a sumptuous meal. The food was very good / and we were so hungry and well presented that I forgot to take pictures and just dug in :)
The staff is polite and gives you enough time to make up your mind before you order. The food was delicious and the vibe awesome. The beee was chilled.
Their portions are generous and we are four adults and two kids // and had orders five dishes.

Good food, decent price. Lunch time is an even better deal. Tends to get crowded for dinner. Takeout is also great.

This is a really cool restaurant, great service and phenomenal food. This is one of the best Thai places I’ve visited. The restaurant on the inside has a pretty chin vibe. It is cozy and really clean. I highly recommend this spot. It is a really nice place for a date, friend’s night out, office dinner etc. The drinks are also visually appealing. There’s no parking around but if you search, I’m sure you can find one.

We stopped here to have dinner before a show at the Beacon. We had a reservation but honestly we didn't need it on a Wednesday night. We shared the appetizer sampler which was presented beautifully and tasted just as good. We also shared a noodle pish with BBQ pork and shrimp. It was quite enjoyable. It was plenty of food for the both of us. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. We'll be back.

First restaurant visit in the states and we jumped into Thai 72. The restaurant is in central location.
The restaurant looks nice decorated and you feel welcome in the place. We arrived early. I think the place will get busy if you come to late.
The food was really tasty. We had both noodles with e.g. Udon basil.
The drinks been not 100 % in our favour because the lemonades been really sweet in comparison to European style.
We can recommend the restaurant and looking forward to our next visit.

Excellent Thai food on the upper west side. Place gets very crowded and had to wait for a table but it was worth it. Drunken noodles were delicious. As was the Tom Yun soup.

The messaman curry dish was really good and so was the drunken noodles. Nice place!

Authentic Thai food. Delicious, fast service. A good neighborhood Thai restaurant attracts regular customers.

Loved this place! Although it is very small & you can hear into conversations the food & drinks are great!!!
For drinks we ordered a lychee & it was yummy & tasted like actual lychee which is a plus! My bf order Hennessy & cranberry which was mixed well.
For appetizers we ordered King Crab Rangoon & 5 Star Thai Dumplings the appetizers where great but the Rangoon is a musttttt order sooo good from one bite it melts right into your mouth!!!
For dinner I ordered the old fashion pad Thai with shrimp and chicken and I’d order it next time with just chicken but overall taste was great 10/10. My bf ordered drunken noodle with crispy duck & he said the duck was great but the noodles and taste was ok he rates it 5/10.

If you like authentic Thai cuisine at a more than fair price- this is your place!
The food was awesome and not overpriced. Best Phad Thai I I have had outside of Thailand.
Staff was friendly, going round, filling up the free water all the time.
Atmosphere and interior are welcoming and cozy. Even when the place got busy, it did not get too loud, and you could still comfortably have a conversation.
We loved this place and if I am ever in NY again, it is definitely on the list.
