Review City Kitchen - New York City

Very nice place to go before a movie or broadway play. Staff is friendly and place is located a fight up. Many food selections to choose from. Nice view of the street. I was in a rush so had a quick coffee and donuts. Great donuts selection here.

Great place away from the times square crowds. We had a quick dinner and then returned for breakfast. Even when it was busy we had quick service and fresh food. Gabriella's Mexican food was great, i recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito. A good pairing to any of the Mexican food is to get an horchata glazed donut. There is bar style seating along the windows that provide excellent people watching!

This was last December 2018. It is like a food court type of resto sitting in the middle of Manhattan. Wide food selection from rice meals, burgers, sandwiches, doughnuts, coffee drinks and juices. My friend said the place is quite famous! We tried their glazed doughnuts and it did not disappoint! We even got some to-go and brought it home.

Love the variety of food in this food court-style place. We ordered Mexican and were satisfied with the food quality and price. The place also offered a fascinating view of the frenetic street traffic below. The only disappointment is going two floors down for restrooms.

Great food options. We tried a few different ones. Walking distance from time square and broadways. Would of given 5 star but seating was difficult. I would eat there again.

This is a very clean and modern place filled with different restaurant offerings. If you come at a “quiet” time, you will be able to grab your order and a table and take in the sights and sounds of NY. But, this place gets busy real fast. Our party quickly found plenty of foods to choose from at very reasonable prices. The washroom is accessed by elevator and will require a code to use.

This place was perfect for me between Harry Potter shows. It wasn't crowded around 5:30pm, has lots of options. Not a lot of seating but enough. And kept me dry from the rain! I ordered from Gabriela's and Dough. The shrimp taco was ok. My shrimp was slightly tough but the flavors were great. The veggie empanada was so good. The hibiscus doughnut was also good. It was later in the day so it probably wasn't as fresh as it could be but I still liked it.

Loved the views from this second story food court, catch a seat at the bar if you can. Coffee was great and so were the donuts — loved the dulce de leche, if only we had space for more! Both the lobster roll and ramen were delicious too.

Perfect respite from the busy streets and long restaurant lines. We stopped twice in one day, earlier for lunch and later for coffee and cake. Options are varied and while seating space can be limited, there is plenty of seating in the attached space. All the praises for the Kitchen!

A lot of food choices. The ippudo take out ramen is of good quality. Soup is thick yet flavor is right--not too salty and you can taste the pork. Noodle cooked to a little softer tha ippudo and i really like it. The crab roll is served with the crab cold but tastes fresh and sweet.

This place is legit plenty of open space to find your own corner for a group or chase after a toddler in a relatively safe environment by the way the food is awesome UPDATE: Peanut butter bacon burger. Nuf said AND its delicious! This place is great if they add a chunky peanut butter option I will give them the 6th star! Nice area for my toddler to explore as well although use the crowd tool here on google maps!

Great place. There are a variety of places to eat. I ate at Luke’s (great lobster roll), while my wife and kids ate Whitman’s and Gabriela’s. All the food was great. The place was very clean and kid friendly despite being only a block away from Times Square.

It was okay! I normally go for the ramen. First time trying their doughnuts, and I didnt really like it. I wish there were more vendors!

City Kitchen is a small food court on the 2nd floor of the Row Hotel. I ate at Kuro-Obi. I had the namesake dish with an egg ($13 + $2). It was the best ramen I've ever had. So much so, that I'm wondering what was wrong with all the other ramen dishes I've had! The broth was delicious and the pork belly was excellent. All in all the place was really quiet on a Friday night at 9pm.

Had a solid burger from Whitman’s. Wish seating were a little better optimized for people in smaller groups/alone. It’s mostly just big tables and then luck if you can grab a stool along the window.

Getting a seat is not always easy. Before 3pm you can try sitting in the dark section in front of the bleacher seats, I believe it's named District M and the District M staff won't really bother you unless it's after 3pm from my experience. If earlier than 3, grab a table and feel no guilt. They might've changed the rules but that's how it was the last time I was at City Kitchen. CK has empanadas, lobster rolls, sushi, donuts, ramen soups, etc. The section near the top of the bleachers is still CK and it's the prime seating for CK. I believe you can eat on the bleachers too and I believe the bleachers are part of CK officially. If you're thinking the setup sounds weird, well, it is weird sort of, but it's cool with a hint of chic.... Tough to explain in words but if someone says CK is a "food court", well, I wouldn't disagree. It sort of is. Keep in mind that District M is a proper dining experience with wait staff and menus. CK leans more toward self-serve/casual with "menus" that are up high near the ceiling. You can access CK directly from the street, or you can go into the Row Hotel and walk up and past the hotel elevators.

I came here after seeing pictures of this place on instagram and it did not disappoint!! The location is great, they have many different options for food places, suchi, sweets, coffee etc. the decorations are really slick as well. My coffe and nutella donut was delicious. My favorite part was the nice big windows all around that give it such a nice view of the busy streets! Love thsi place will definitely be back!

My mom and I stopped to grab a bite from Luke's Lobster. It was my first time having Luke's Lobster and I wasn't sure if the service or food would be as good from this location as one of the actual restaurants but, it was great! I wasn't sure what I wanted and they let me sample the chowder. My mom and I both settled on the Trio- 1/2 half lobster roll, 1/2 crab roll and 1/2 shrimp roll. They were pretty small to be half rolls but surprisingly it was very filling. They don't skimp on the seafood and each roll was tasty. My only complaint is that someone should be around to wipe down the tables as ppl are done. I had to wipe down my table before sitting my food down to eat.

The food was good but, the prices were a bit steep. We grabbed 3 plain burgers, 2 orders of fries, 2 bottled waters and a can of Coke - total was over $40. I agree it’s a nice & comfortable place to eat however, if your looking for simple and great tasting food, you’d be better off with Chick Fil A.

If you visit New York and you are looking for a good place to eat....here you are at the best place! Tasty Food, good prices and the cleanest restroom I have seen in New York

NYC knows how to do a food court. Upscale, great selection, the food is to die for and the portions are huge. I had the lamb wrap, my husband had the spicy chicken wrap, and the fries are the best I have ever had. I would love to know what spices the chef used on them. Yes, this is high end. Food served in a very uptown food court.

A nice array of ethnic food which was delicious. Very open and airy dining space with wall to wall windows to view Times Square. Extremely reasonable pricing. Met some great people who shared our table. Can't wait to go again.

We ate dinner here on dec 10 because it was very neat place many place to choose from. I chose to eat sushi and about 3 hours after eating it I was the sickest I have been in my life and not to mention I had to ride a bus home for 9 1/2 hrs and spent the entire time in the bathroom on the bus. I am just wanting to warn anyone else who chooses to eat sushi from this place.

Super location and excellent food choices. A hidden place of heaven in NYC

Great idea.. 5 small separate stations selling food. We bought different things from 3 of the 4 that were open for breakfast. Coffee was good. Breakfast burrito was so big I had half for lunch.

A really nice place for a quick bite and with a variety of food to taste from all over the city. It is conveniently located near Times Square for those traveling but the location is not as crowded as you’d expect!
Katerina Roussis
Great choice of breakfast.Best doughnuts at Dough, breakfast burritos from Gabriela's Taqueria and omelette at Box. Stop here each morning on my way out for the day.

I can't say enough about this place. It literally has something for everyone, every one of our meals was excellent, price was reasonable and has probably the cleanest bathroom we saw in NYC AND BALTIMORE!! thank you so much. You will be a regular stop for us!

Tasty food choices, decent prices, convenient location, fast casual dining I will be back!

Its been better. A bit crowded and not enougb seating. I went to use the restroom and was unable to get into because i didn't have a hotel guess key. Luckilu the conceriage was kind enough to lend me her swipe key to get in.

Really nice food court with views of city. My daughter loved her ramen and I had a good shrimp roll. Price of food was good for NYC however they got you on the beverages. We then followed up with doughnuts from Dough but were disappointed they didnt have half the donuts listed. All in all woukd go there again when just looking for a quick bite.
