Reservations highly recommended. Perfect for gatherings and spacious outside and inside. We took friends that came in from out of town. Close to the path trains and MTA trains. Really can’t beat the outside views at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. Nice selection of cocktails and food that felt like comfort food than fine dining. And comfort food is the best.

The food is very tasty!!!Truly a romantic place on the river side in NYC where you can get the view of Newport and Hoboken. The food menu is very limited but whatever it is it is yummy yummy. the place is not that spacious because we went in the winter , but there is is an outside seat area. Must to visit place.

Came in for the famous Quartet. Expensive. $36 dollars for the 4 Mac & cheese extravaganza. The Buffalo was my least favorite. The original was my favorite. I honestly could not get over how expensive it was. It feeds 2 and the views is nice of the river. Maps takes you weird route, it's hard to find. Once you're at the building, walk towards the river and you'll find the location. It's an experience and it makes for great photos.

The view for river, sunset, and night light is unbeatable. The servers were attentive and polite. The food we had were decent, not that good but fair for the price and portion. There are dividers for indoor seating. Overall a place to consider if you want to have a relaxing night to hang out.

Merchants River House was absolutely beautiful! Nick and Jameson were the best servers I’ve ever had. I’ve been here twice but Nick and Jameson’s customer service skills made this night absolutely magical! I would request them every time if I lived here. The view is amazing and the food and drinks were AMAZING. But thank you to Nick and Jameson for making this Texas girl fall in love a little more with New York

They have one of the BEST vegan burgers with avocado! Drinks are nicely selected and beautifully presented, which matches the ambiance of the location. Staff is also very thoughtful and friendly. I have returned 3x because I love this place so much.

Great location! Wonderful view of the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty while dining. The food has great food options. Taste is ok but can be better. Service is ok but again can be improved. I still recommend the place because it has great outdoor dining options.

One of my new FAVORITE places. This place has it all - perfect quiet location, direct river/sunset views, super ROMANTIC vibe, good selection of seafood dishes, excellent service, and best of all, shockingly reasonable prices considering everything. The food won’t blow you away but it’s still very solid, especially if you’re craving things like mussels, fish and chips, or calamari. I totally recommend getting an order of the mussels to share - the white wine/sausage based sauce is to die for. You can enjoy a full dinner for two with a bottle of wine for around $100. This is the IDEAL DATE SPOT. You can’t see in my photos, but the other side/angle is a complete view of the Hudson. Sit outdoors on a summer night (come around 8pm when it’s cooler and the sun is setting), but the indoor space looks stellar as well.

We found this restaurant when googling for a dinner place close to The Wagner Hotel. What a lovely find. This is a local bistro with good food, nice ambiance, and a pleasant view of the harbor and the Statue of Liberty at a distance. The prices are decent and the service was good. Portions are also generous. I would recommend this place for dinner if you are around the Battery Park area.
