Everything was great! We booked a reservation from 5:45pm and there only a couple of parties in the restaurant when we got there, which made us feel more private and nice.
We ordered porterhouse steak for two and creamed spinach. Food was absolutely amazing! The steak was so juicy, soft and crispy on outside. We also loved the spinach.
By the time we finished the steak, most of the tables had guests and the restaurant felt more lively. It had Christmas decorations inside with Christmas songs, and each table had a rose in a vase. Its atmosphere was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this place and love to come back again!
Enjoyed this New York steak house with our son and his wife. Service started out a little lackluster, mostly due to it bring the holiday season with big parties etc. The place has great atmosphere and once we got settled in and ordered it was all good from that point on. The steak was exceptional and the sides just right. Nice bread and crackers. We had the beets appetizer and the thick cut bacon, both very good. All in all a great restaurant, the owner and staff very attentive. Will be back.
Where do I start? This place is so good on so many levels, and given that it’s in the neighborhood and I’ve walked by it so many times, I can’t believe I haven’t tried it before. From the moment we walked in and were greeted, we felt treated like family. The owner is Albanian and service runs in their blood, something I can attest to, having just visited the country last month. And that level of kind and attentive but not overbearing service continued through the meal. The interior is intimate and tastefully decorated in red with photos aligning the walls and musician on a cello provided the perfect backdrop. Which is all to say it’s a great spot for a date. For dinner, we started with their bacon which was nicely done, followed by the porterhouse. And I was pleasantly surprised - I’ve tried several of NYC’s best steakhouses and this was on par. They served it sliced on a plate of bubbling oil. The quality of the meat was very good - exceptionally tender and with a nice crust. The steak sauce isn’t the best, but really, with this quality of meat, you shouldn’t be dousing it in sauce anyways. The meal finished with a lovely pair of desserts, which was the perfect finish. Overall, a wonderful dinner with some of the best service I’ve had in the city - I look forward to returning.
First time here. Found it on location search for best steakhouses in Midtown East. It ranked #1 at 4.5 stars, so we booked it. Met friends from Florida who were vacationing here. Great experience! Food and service were outstanding. The owner, who said he opened in 1978 even stopped by to thank us for coming! Will definitely be back, and I highly recommend a visit here i your looking for a great dining experience in Midtown East!
Yum yum 🤤 we got to experience this place with a Groupon! And while options were limited, it was absolutely worthy!!!! Our server name as Tony, and he was great!!!! We were using tennis shoes because we were walking the city and they made sure we feel comfortable! The place is beautiful and the food was very good. Completely recommend
Thank you 😀👏🏼
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Club A Steakhouse, and it was nothing short of an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a wonderful ambiance, complete with classical music that set the perfect tone for the evening.
The food at Club A Steakhouse was truly scrumptious. The star of the show, the ribeye steak, was a revelation. It was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth, and the seasoning was nothing short of perfection. It's safe to say that this ribeye will be the standard by which I judge all future steaks.
The side dish of creamed spinach, with a hint of nutmeg, was a delightful surprise. It added a unique and addictive flavor profile that left me craving for more. The mashed potatoes served as the perfect complement to the creamed spinach, creating a heavenly combination that I won't soon forget.
The staff at Club A Steakhouse were not only nice but also incredibly attentive. They made sure every detail of our dining experience was just right, and their warmth and professionalism were truly appreciated.
I opted for the rose wine to accompany my meal, and while it was semi-sweet and a bit strong, it paired wonderfully with the flavors of the steak and sides.
As a special touch for our anniversary, we were treated to a complimentary dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to an already perfect meal.
This was my second visit to Club A Steakhouse, and I can confidently say that I will definitely return. If you plan to dine here, I highly recommend making reservations, as it's a popular spot for good reason. Club A Steakhouse exceeded my expectations in every way and made our anniversary celebration truly memorable.
Celebrated a milestone birthday here on 9-28. We arrived earlier than our reserved time. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and seated with such appreciation for coming. Our waiter explained the menu and suggested a proper wine to pair with our meal, and kept our glasses filled. Dinner was amazing! The steaks, filet mignon & hangar, were perfection at its finest. The owner, Bruno came over twice and complemented us and ever so humbly thanked us personally for coming. Dessert was spot on as well. We had our picture taken and received it with a thank card personally signed by him. The service, hospitality and food made this my go to restaurant for a fantastic meal. I can’t say enough about Club A!!
Booked the restaurant based on reviews, and we weren't disappointed.
The management team and the serving team are top notch.
The steak is amazing, cooked perfectly medium rare, the sides were delicious, and the dessert was delicious.
Not cheap but worth every penny.
Club A Steakhouse makes you feel like an A-Lister from the moment you walk through the door. Friendly faces greet you, from the manager and/or owner at the bar, to the beautiful hostess, who seats you in the lovely dining room, and our server, Diego, and the rest of the wait staff; the customer service is unbelievable and makes you feel welcome immediately. During dinner, the manager came over to share some easy conversation where we mentioned we were there to celebrate a wedding anniversary and we just chatted about our relationships, but then were immediately surprised with the hostess, servers, and owner coming over to wish us with complimentary champagne, dessert, and a souvenir photo that the hostess took and printed for us, with a note signed by the owner. I swear we weren’t trying to get anything extra, but we were certainly warmed by the sweet touch.
The atmosphere is straight class, with relaxed music playing gently in the background of the beautiful dining area featuring red walls covered in black and white photos. The restaurant itself is an old brownstone converted into a steakhouse. It’s a vibe. The bathrooms, situated upstairs by another gorgeous dining area/bar that was not yet open yet since we were there for an early dinner, were pristine.
The food was exceptional (porterhouse for two with a side of French fries), beautifully presented and served by Diego, paired with a scotch.
A fantastic, well run establishment, that is a great overall experience if you’re looking for a nice steak meal while in NYC.
Thank you!
Celebrated a birthday dinner last night. Food is amazing and also the service. Staff and owner make your visit feel extra special. We would recommend it 100%!!
