A great French restaurant serving up some cheesy deliciousness. They have a cute heated outdoor setup which is small, intimate and has great lighting for photographs for those awesome Instagram posts. Inside is dark and intimate but a bit cramped especially on a crowded day but the quality of the food is worthwhile. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided a pleasant experience. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend!!

Well the whole experience was pretty good. Book a table, they are always full.
Nobody in our group liked fig tartineš. I would recommend to order baked Camembertš¤© and ribeyeš„©. Itās more than enough for 3. š
However the fact that even if I booked the table, I was asked to leave and come back. Hostess was not friendly. But the waitress was polite and nice. And the smell from cheese in the restaurantā¦ š¤£š you will get used to it in 30 minutes.
I worth going!

What a cool concept! A must try place for the experience alone. Definitely order one of the dishes with a cheese scrape, highly recommend their original blend. The truffle cheese was okay but not outstanding.
Ordered the ribeye for two with my partner but we were given so much food, it was more like dinner for four haha. The addition of cheese was tasty but wasn't as phenomenal as I was expecting.
Would still recommend this place to try and would recommend making reservations in advance. Great place for a romantic dinner or dinner out with friends.

One of the very few Raclette cheese experience in NY!
The restaurant is a small locale with outdoor seating. Overall an intimate homestyle vibe.
The food is great, but not extraordinary. Quick tip: come in hungry so you can enjoy the cheese when itās still melted.
The best part was the service! This place deserves it all! The manager was so considerate and friendly. We booked in advance but at the moment she didnāt have our seats available even after waiting a bit. She apologised kindly and offered us drinks while we were seated on bar. Truly mindful and warming service! You donāt get this everywhere, especially in NY where everyone is rushing somewhere and donāt have time for your feelings. She and the staff deserve a raise for this!

Everything is perfect, reasonable price, friendly staff, and great taste. Iām such a cheese lover and I can just eat cheese all day. But I suggest u do not go for extra cheese, since the default amount of cheese in raclette is actually way more than I expected, ordered extra and then I brought them all back and it doesnāt taste as good. The restaurant is clearly short staffed and had to wait for a while just to get some water and etc but overall great experience

OUTSTANDING FOOD!! I will be back. Worth more repeats than one. Get the wild herbs cheese and thank me later.š Scallops made to perfection, and tuna tartare to DIE FOR. Ribeye was beyond tender, juicy and delicious. Med. well was excellent. GET THE flourless chocolate moose and call me to thank mešš„°š

The burger tasted pretty good. Service was decent. Cheese tasted great. A bit too much cheese on the burger though. The building looks to be deteriorating (e.g. broken restroom door locks).

Finally got to go to this internet sensation lol. You have to reserve. And we got to the place earlier than our reservation. The place wasn't so packed so they accomodated us which was nice. Food was great. The camembert and the raclette were my faves!! You can choose different flavors for your raclette like original or peppercorn etc.
Although make sure you eat right away. It gets cold fast and hardens. You can microwave it at home.
The place is really small and cramped but hey it's NY. Also maybe the bathroom can be improve. Servers are nice and attentive.

If you love cheese, you should try this one. They are very generous with the cheese and the experience of watching them scrap the melted cheese is amusing. Make sure you make a reservation ahead as the restaurant is fairly small.

The restaurant was set up beautifully. We arrived just after it opened. The cheese smell filled the air in the beginning so be prepared for that if you are sensitive to smells. The food was exquisite. Everything was well seasoned and the portions were generous. They server was kind enough to be tolerant of us taking pictures as he scraped the cheese on the dish. Excellent wine and beer selection. For those that aren't familiar with French cuisine everything is explained so no worries. Important thing to note: if you are even mildly lactose intolerant (as myself) do not overdo it on the cheese eating!

Croque madame: excellent. I particularly loved how that mornay sauce sat on the toasted brioche - - delicious, and a satisfying textural contrast. I'd rate 5 stars if I had only this.
Raclette New York with garlic cheese: good, and a fun experience with the way the cheese is served. The filet itself I wasn't crazy about, though in fairness I'd gone awhile without eating filet mignon, maybe it tasted as it should have?

Great dining experience in an intimate restaurant setting. Yes, the melted cheese being scraped onto my burger was a very memorable experience. But this restaurant has a lot to offer - the ambience is enjoyable, the wine selection good, and the wait staff is attentive. The burger itself was very flavorful, and the roasted new potatoes I had for my side were excellent. Very happy I made this a stop on my trip to New York.

The Raclette in NYC is located very central and easy to reach by car. The food was very good especially the cheeses are a French delicacy. My favourite was the truffle cheese on the hamburger. Also venue is cosy and romantic. Only downside is that it is a little overpriced and the red wine was extremely dry.

Very good, it is is a ācheesy experienceā in a way that you leave cheesed out! My order was the Truffle cheese it was good but NO Truffle cheese taste and flavor at all!
Besides that important point, it was all good. We liked it all!
Just walking around this neighborhood ... it pays off!

I dont even know where to start. The cheese, yes it is as good as it looks. Perhaps the biggest surprise to me was the burger. Cooked to perfection with caramelized onions and a buttery brioche bun, if that isn't enough how about a massive amount of melted burnt (in a good way) smoked cheese......awesome!

Went for an impromptu birthday dinner and the food was amazing. The smell of raclette cheese permeates the entire restaurant so this place is not for the faint of heart. It was very busy when we went (the wait was 3 hrs for walk ins) and it was hard to get the attention of our waitress, but otherwise a great experience. Would recommend splitting the cheese dishes instead of ordering one for each person.

Ever since I saw some photos of melted cheese being drizzled over yummy food from this restaurant, I have been wanting to go for a visit. About a year later, we finally gotten around to visiting them! It had crowd of people waiting outside for a table, but since we had reservation, we had no issue getting a table. We felt special walking in there and get seated right away, with all those people waiting outside were looking at us with jealousy.
The inside was packed, and lively. I heard it is a very tiny space, so I was expecting something that is soooo much smaller, but it was actually nice size. Maybe they have expanded since they first opened? Anyways, they have tables on top of each other, trying to put in as many seats as possible. They have a small bar counter and they do offer wine, beer, and cider.
So, we are here for their Raclette! They also offer Croques (grilled cheese sandwiches) and Tartines (open sandwiches), which they all looked really good too. But we gotta get our Raclettes on first! What I was most excited about is that here at Raclette, they scrape off the melted cheese right at your tableside.
They offer five kinds of Raclettes, and we went with Suisse. When they finally arrived, the staff quickly cracked the golden cheese surface and drizzled the melted cheese over the potatoes. Total food porn. And it was soooo delicious! I didn't want to think of how much calorie was on the plate, but hey, it was all worth it!
I am so glad we got to go visit the infamous Raclette. It was so delicious, comforting, and just awesome. It was a great meal, warm you up from the inside on a cold day. The service was ok, polite and efficient. It got better as the lunch rush was coming to an end, and people started leaving. I would love to go back for more of their offerings in the near future.
