These are $5 cookies but they are so rich you should only eat a quarter of one at a time. The holiday dark chocolate peppermint version smells wonderful. Great stocking stuffer. There's really no place to sit and enjoy your treats so only a 4 for atmosphere. Most people don't wait to eat it and stand around out front munching with a giddy smile...

Wonderful bakery with amazing (and huge!) Cookies, great for sharing. Their butter brioche bread with cinnamon is very subtle in flavour but also very delicious

The best Levain Bakery in all of New York. There are so many good things to say about this location in particular. Where do I begin? The cookies are always baked fresh in the open for everyone to see and smell. The aroma hits you from two blocks away in any direction. All their cookies are cooked to perfection being chewy, moist and scrumptious. Their cookies are still affordable in this economy! Lastly, the staff are always friendly and inviting, making you want to order more and tip in abundance. Overall, if you are craving something sweet, don't think twice, come to this Levain immediately.

My favorite cookie spot - huge, chunky and perfectly sweet! Can’t go wrong with their chocolate or walnut options. Not a huge fan of their vegan options though - they really are just very floury.

If you can read this take my word and make your way here and try any of their cookies. You can't go wrong. They're all delicious! I enjoy the Oatmeal Raisin, but also enjoy the 2 Chip Chocolate Chip cookies too. Trust me🍪

By far one of the best cookies I have ever had. If your love gooey cookies these are definitely the ones for you. Their cookies are huge, crispy on the outside and gooey- almost like a cookie dough on the inside. Their coffee is pretty good too. Definitely worth stopping by!

The ladies at the front were so friendly and helpful. Was my first time at Levain and we all enjoyed their rich cookies and baked items. Love that there is so much more to do in the neighborhood. I think it's a must visit and we will surely stop by again.

Let me tell you something about this place... You don't have many options but the flavors are there. The cookies are big and soft with the crunchiness from the outside. The attention is very good and if you want of course you'll have different drinks to pair with your cookie. You don't have places to seat because this location is for to go, but two blocks from there you have a beautiful park with benches. Levain is my option for cookie time!!!.

Amazing!!! I can't explain what is the cookies! They are the best in NYC and in the world! Awesome!!! The local is tiny, but the taste is gorgeous. In Harlem, you don't get big lines. I wish I could have the cookies recipe. 😍

Cookie monster here! Omg best cookies in the entire world! And look how ginormous it is, a must try in NYC! Location: It is located in Upper West side, interior is small and only take out! Service: not really interact with them, just buy and go! But you might ask them if it is your first time! Food: Everything was so delicious and ginormous! You will love all the flavors! CHOCO CHIP WALNUT: this the original flavor, this is so good! Best choco chip cookie I had! Big chunks of chocolate inside! DARK CHOCOLATE CHIP: omg so dark and gooey! Perfect for tea! DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER: this is my favorite!! A must if you go! The chunks of peanut butter pieces is just heavenly good! I don’t usually like peanut butter but this is an exemption! CHOCO CHIP BRIOCHE: meh, sorry this is the list I like here, the brioche itself is hard and taste old, maybe only that day. So just by cookies! Price rating: 7/10, the price matches all the deliciousness! Not bad for all the goodness. Been here multiple times so I am sure I am going back for the gooey deliciousness cookies! Get the DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER!!

I was really excited to try Levain's cookies, the hype was real. And they didn't disappoint. Best cookies I've ever had in my life. Crispy outside, but super super soft and moist inside and super deep flavour. Just amazing. We tried the original, really nice, but the dark chocolate and peanut butter one stole my heart. Never had a cookie like that one. They were also super filling. What a place.

I went there last april and I ordered only one chocolate chip cookie. It was the best cookie I ever had! And it is a huge size too! I would definitely come back the next time I come in New York!

I heard a lot about this place and it took some time to finally get there. I’m so happy I tried something that wasn’t their popular item because now I know they’re truly delicious. Atmosphere: it’s a bakery kitchen with a small sales counter and barstools. It’s very clean and looks very orderly. The staff was very diverse and everyone looked to be in a great mood. Smells not too sweet and very clean. Food: I tried the muffin and I was so pleased. Damn that’s a good muffin. Lots of egg and butter. Not much sugar. It’s dusted with sugar but the muffin isn’t too sweet and I was happy. Service: fast and friendly. No one was there when I was ordering. The crowds started pouring in when I was sitting outside. I could hear the counter people greet everyone. Everyone seems to love this place. I’d return many time. I wish the cookies were cheaper. They’re definitely delicious.

I’ve said this once and I’ll say it again! Levain has the best cookies in nyc. Sure you’re gonna pay a small premium, but that’s NYC. There’s lot of other bakeries that charge more and don’t offer half the flavor that these cookies have. We got the classic chocolate chip walnut as well as the chocolate peanut. The chocolate peanut veas out favorite. Fortunately there wasn’t a line, service is efficient, the space is small but very clean and we will continue to always come back when we’re in the area!!!

I love this place for the walnut chocolate chip cookie. I highly recommend you try it but make sure it's hot or at least warm so you can really get a feel for the gooey feel of it. The cookies are $4 each and defiently worth it.

Stopped in for COOKIES! They are extraordinary! Their cookies are so rich, dense and moist... I could only eat half of one and that is very unusual for this cookie loving lady..that's okay as it was my dessert the next day and was as scrumptious as it was the day before. Loved the choc. chip walnut cookies!
