Stopped in for COOKIES! They are extraordinary! Their cookies are so rich, dense and moist... I could only eat half of one and that is very unusual for this cookie loving lady..that's okay as it was my dessert the next day and was as scrumptious as it was the day before. Loved the choc. chip walnut cookies!

Levain Bakery was founded in 1994 by friends and competitive swimmers Connie McDonald and Pam Weekes. Within just a few years of opening, Levain Bakery became a neighborhood institution and a destination for travelers from all over the world. As the brand has grown, Levain Bakery now has two additional locations beyond its Upper West Side headquarters, one in Harlem and the other in the Hamptons. Currently, through their website, Levain Bakery now ships their world-famous cookies around the globe.
These cookies should be a NYC icon already - I believe they are the best cookies in the city 😂 the chocolate chips and walnuts one is my favorite.

These are $5 cookies but they are so rich you should only eat a quarter of one at a time. The holiday dark chocolate peppermint version smells wonderful. Great stocking stuffer. There's really no place to sit and enjoy your treats so only a 4 for atmosphere. Most people don't wait to eat it and stand around out front munching with a giddy smile...
Wonderful bakery with amazing (and huge!) Cookies, great for sharing. Their butter brioche bread with cinnamon is very subtle in flavour but also very delicious
The best Levain Bakery in all of New York. There are so many good things to say about this location in particular. Where do I begin? The cookies are always baked fresh in the open for everyone to see and smell. The aroma hits you from two blocks away in any direction. All their cookies are cooked to perfection being chewy, moist and scrumptious. Their cookies are still affordable in this economy! Lastly, the staff are always friendly and inviting, making you want to order more and tip in abundance.
Overall, if you are craving something sweet, don't think twice, come to this Levain immediately.
My favorite cookie spot - huge, chunky and perfectly sweet! Can’t go wrong with their chocolate or walnut options. Not a huge fan of their vegan options though - they really are just very floury.
If you can read this take my word and make your way here and try any of their cookies. You can't go wrong. They're all delicious! I enjoy the Oatmeal Raisin, but also enjoy the 2 Chip Chocolate Chip cookies too. Trust me🍪
By far one of the best cookies I have ever had. If your love gooey cookies these are definitely the ones for you. Their cookies are huge, crispy on the outside and gooey- almost like a cookie dough on the inside. Their coffee is pretty good too. Definitely worth stopping by!
The ladies at the front were so friendly and helpful. Was my first time at Levain and we all enjoyed their rich cookies and baked items. Love that there is so much more to do in the neighborhood. I think it's a must visit and we will surely stop by again.

Let me tell you something about this place... You don't have many options but the flavors are there.
The cookies are big and soft with the crunchiness from the outside.
The attention is very good and if you want of course you'll have different drinks to pair with your cookie.
You don't have places to seat because this location is for to go, but two blocks from there you have a beautiful park with benches. Levain is my option for cookie time!!!.
