Always Great!. Could not ask for better service or better food. Food is fresh, the balsamic salad dressing is the BEST.
As far as fast breakfast places .. especially in Lakeview this place is great! nice staff good food and coffee and FAST while still being able to personalize the orders.
Needs Improvement. Cafe au lait was exceptionally good, but the scrambled eggs were overcooked and the grits was watery and had no taste. I really want to like this place because it is conveniently located and I need another breakfast option besides Russell's. The food and the atmosphere both need improvement.
Perfect for Lakeview; GREAT egg sandwich. M-F 6:45am - 11am; Sat & Sun 6:45am-3pm. Sandwiches. Salads. Kind of bland Starbucks look and in a small strip mall in Lakeview, so my expectations were not high. But the egg sandwich was fantastic -- eggs cooked over medium at request, cheese, bacon on a massive, lightly toasted croissant ($5.5 in 09) was worth the trip. Decor, crowd, all authentic for Lakeview. For example, the requisite large NOLA vintage photos were not street cars or the Quarter, but Lakeview harbor scenes and lake shots. Great service, ample parking and seating. Good coffee (though they used crushed ice instead of cubes) 10/09.
Great place to grab a bite and coffee. Food was fresh and looked great just not a lot of seasoning added to dishes. Had a turkey, avocado breakfast sandwich before and it was good just not seasoned but fluffed well when I added salt and pepper. Staff isn't overly nice but the are polite. Frozen coffee is always good. Can't go wrong.
Yesterday I had the BEST Club Sandwich ever (the Chateau Club) at an amazing $11.00 price, and it came with a mountain of hot and crispy skin-on french fries, too. Will be back for sure. PS Service is excellent. Space is spacious and laid back. Conveniently located at the Lakefront. Menu has a lot of choices.
We had breakfast here this morning. Everything was delicious. Omelet, French toast, bacon, and coffee. I got a jitter to go and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

The address of this restaurant is 139 Allen Toussaint Blvd. The name of the street WAS Robert E Lee. It is no longer as of February 1, 2022
People who refuse to accept this street name change keep changing the address of this restaurant on google as 139 W Robert E Lee, which is still a valid street name and completely different street.
If you put the W Robert E address in your GPS it will direct you to the WRONG address. West Robert E lee is on the other side of West End and is a small dead end street. It has a W in the name for WEST. It is not Robert E Lee. If google directs you to the the shopping mall that has a patio furniture store in it or a tall office building with urgent care in it. You are in the wrong spot. Please stop hassling the various employees in this other mall. We had nothing to do with the street name change, and do not want to hear your political views any longer, when you come in looking for Chateau Cafe. Take it up with the city not us.

We had the crayfish omelet and the food was really fresh and tasty. This place is busy on the weekends but well worth it. The price to size plate ratio is fair as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful too.
My husband and I love this place. I wish I could write a new review every time we visit. It would be a consistent 5 star review. Today we enjoyed the most delicious breakfast tacos on the planet and drank lattes that taste like they were made with the tears of angels. And we had a blue berry muffin appetizer. To top it off the staff was pleasant and smiling.

I needed a central location for several people to gather and Chateau Cafe was the perfect location for everyone. This wonderfully warm and welcoming cafe provided more than coffee. We had a scrumptious breakfast delivered with such delightful hospitality, we decided to have our regular monthly meetings at this venue.

Good service. Moderately priced food. I ordered a triple cheese bacon burger. Served with fries $12. This burger is over 1/2 a pound(9ozs to be precise), and it had 5, count em, 5 pieces of thick cut bacon on it. I would definately go there again if I was in this part of the parish.
