Flora Gallery & Coffee Shop

As a customer here since I was born I finally find it in myself to review this shop. Not only is it a good coffee shop - it's a community staple that locals have appreciated for decades. Ali giving people free bananas is an experience I believe everyone should have. An old mathematician who shows up will sometimes approach you with wild talk about geometry and math, very eccentric and cool. It's a beacon of weird regular eccentrics and has a nice piano and outside area. If I wanted to make a heartwarming sitcom about a local coffeeshop, this would be the one.

Husband and I are looking for another regular morning spot and decided to check this place out, did not disappoint. Super cute space, loved outdoor seating options, very dog friendly. In a city where the prices can be extreme, we really appreciate an affordable option. Food was perfectly simple and delicious, flavors on point, with vegetarian options.

Love this place. Ali the owner is the best. Every year during Ramadan he feeds everyone who comes in. Like who does that. Kip is amazing also. Also Brooke is super nice! They really give the place a great atmosphere. If you are looking for good coffee and good ambiance not many places beat Flora. The list of local characters who hangout there is endless. Great spot!

We found Flora Gallery & Coffee Shop by accident while exploring the neighborhood. The ice coffee and pastry was perfect for the 100’ day we were enduring. The gentleman behind the counter could not have been more friendly. The art work on the walls is interesting and filled with energy. For breakfast, a quick snack or to view the art, check this place out. We will be back.

This was on a whim. We arrived to JAMNOLA early before our scheduled time slot. We were hungry and it was breakfast time. We went for a stroll and our noses led us to this incredible gem in the the French quarters! The curry rice burrito is remarkable!! The sausage egg and cheese croissant sandwich was delicious. Glad we stumbled across this place!

Travel back in time at this hip yet cozy coffee shop. Eccentric decoration in & outside. Edgy clientele, always seem happy to be here. Very welcoming place, you can spend hours. They have homemade pastries and deserts. Really tasty stuff. Their coffees are good too. All in all, great place to hang out anytime of the day.

Adorable cafe with a hip grit jungle vibe that I was obsessed with! I only grabbed some bakery items each of which were delicious-lava cake, macadamia nut cookie and king cake. The baristas here are incredibly friendly too. The atmosphere gives a very welcoming and local energy that radiates safety too.
