While there was delivery through food apps just last month, Satsuma is not able to do food delivery for some reason. Whoever the man is that answered my call 2 weeks ago, is not someone I would hire or want touching my food. It's unfortunate that people bring their misery into service business. The rest of staff is excellent.
I used to frequent Satsuma when I lived in Bywater years ago. I loved the food and vibe there. I was happy to return since moving back and ordered the Breakfast Burrito for delivery and than dined in with my dog within 2 days because I was craving that burrito and the salsa it comes with.
The staff here is so kind and go beyond what I expected. Peter is jovial and treated us like a house guest who needs for nothing. The man washing dishes in back was singing with the music so well, the soul was felt. That's great vibes I want around my food !
I have got the green juice twice also and got that to go because I couldn't Not, try the lavender coffee. Also got warmed blueberry muffin with butter. It's was a real blueberry muffin as in, it tasted like it was homemade with whole ingredients.
Of course it was so delightful. My dog was given a treat the first last week also. Sweet.
They still have books on a shelf here and the places is so spacious and comfortable to stay around. With outdoor seating for pets, I appreciate havens like this.
Always will return here.
Great menu options, friendly staff, delicious everything!!! .. and the bathroom is beautifully decorated 🖤❤️ had the Turkey Pesto with side salad and Grilled Cheese + bacon with chips (spilt both sides). Sooooo good!!
Great brunch. Eggs cooked perfectly. Strawberry banana pancake was awesome.
My husband and I both have Celiac and we’re vegetarians. We visited here on our trip to New Orleans for brunch. This is a small and charming cafe-style joint with a nice patio. It’s not a dedicated kitchen but the staff happily prepared us an egg sandwich on housemade GF bread as well as an eggs & black beans breakfast with housemade tortillas. They cleaned off surfaces to prepare our meals. My husband and I are both very sensitive and felt fine after this meal. Amazing coffee here, too.
Plenty of seating indoors and out in this cozy locals cafe. Great coffee, outstanding pastries — the blueberry muffin was so full of berries I feel restored! A fine short menu of hot and cold breakfast items and friendly service to boot. I will be back.
One of my favorite spots in the Bywater. Coffee is great, food is tasty. Atmosphere is perfect.
My husband and I stumbled upon this place on our last morning of our trip. It was super close to where we were staying. The atmosphere was super laid back so we were able to relax and have a good meal before our flight. We both ordered the breakfast plate but 1 with toast and the other with a biscuit. Everything was excellent especially the jam and biscuit! We had a little rain but chose to sit outside under a big tree to enjoy it. When we come back this will definitely be on our list of stops!
Lovely cafe on a quiet side of town. The stain glass windows, wall mural, and the music gives you a chill vibe. I ordered the ABC juice with the well was shot, along with their avocado toast (WHICH WAS AMAZING!!) I would highly recommend this place if your looking for clean eats, coffee, and a good vibe!
I was very rude and disrespectful to the staff. They were still very respectful and polite to me.
If you’re having a weird bad day maybe don’t go here. And if you’re a jerk don’t go back.
The espresso here is perfect. Strongly recommend the cap.
One of the highlights of my trip! The sandwich I ordered was a large portion that was well worth the price, I ate half and saved the other half to enjoy later in the day. The lemonade was delicious and all the art on display was incredible!
