All I can say is stop through and taste the difference. You can tell when someone puts their heart into the food. You won't be disappointed. Shrimp casserole, gumbo, and a Court Nice Sausage Dog will have you rubbing your belly. Finish with a slice of cake. This is a recipe for a great afternoon.

The best hot dogs in New Orleans in my opinion!! Love, love, love the deserts...Seven Up cake is to die for! I miss this shop!!
This was by far the best Mexican food I've eaten in New Orleans. The service was incredible, the food was even better. Homemade everything, from the Margaritas to the Tortillas. It was delicious. Not sure it was Wheelchair accessible, but there is no doubt in my mind they would come out and carry your grandma inside! 5 stars! Will be back again! Super reasonable on price, but the quality is the real star. Can't wait to be hungry again.... update.. left with a Christmas Margarita today! Ever so appreciated and again. Still can't wait to be hungry again
Amazing Hispanic food. Finally the first Hispanic food place that is delicious and amazing to go to. This will be my go to spot for all hispanic food for as long as i am in New Orleans. There's a very lovely spot to sit at outside and people watch; my girlfriend and I loved it. It's right next to a large oyster bar as well so one can go grab a drink from there later.

The restaurant was clean but empty and so I sort of wish more people would go here to support the place. The owners are very nice and get all the food out rapidly. I want to keep it a secret but this place deserves a lot more business.

Google lists some deals that weren't present. It was 5 tacos for 11.50. It was about 50 bucks for 18 tacos.
Outstanding tacos, and that's coming from a taco snob. The tortillas are ** homemade *" and some of the most tender and flavorful I've had -- you can really taste the corn and they aren't dry at all. And the carnitas are perfection. Most places that serve carnitas basically give you straight pulled pork. But here they take the time to actually crisp them so you get nice caramelized crunchy texture in there too.-- I took a photo of that so you can see for your. Owner is super nice, prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend and only wish I had started going sooner!
Mind-blowing! Everything was so fresh. The service was incredibly fast, and the attention to detail in the food was exceptional. The prices are competitive, although not the lowest for good reason. The tortillas were freshly hand made, the meats were delicious, and every ingredient radiated freshness. The place is neat and has nice little decorations, although a little comic. The freshest taco I have had in New Orleans came from la Patrona. Great place!
Update:
The best Mexican food is served here. Señor Edwin's dedication to keeping a customer happy and serving the best food is outstanding. I can't recommend this place enough.
Food is extremely fresh, seasonings are light, so you can taste the character of the quality ingredients. Chips were baked (not at all oily). The guacamole was outstanding (super fresh, light and crisp). Rice and beans were great. Everything is really good.
The restaurant is quite cozy but does have some outdoor seating too. Only the outdoor seating is handicap friendly. There are more than a couple of steps to get inside.
This was by far the best Mexican food I've eaten in New Orleans. Homemade everything! Tortillas, Margaritas, etc. Instead of El taco Loco, go to La Patrona. Not sure it was wheel chair accessible, but there is no doubt in my mind they wouldn't come out and carry your chair in. Amazing service and even better food 5 🌟 will be back again!
I saw a Facebook ad for this place. I was unaware of it (last I knew it was a hot dog joint!). Anyway, decided to check it out.
For parking, this area is a problem. It's got a spot or two in front, but with Cooters there, it's street and "where ever you can" sitch'.
Small place with seating for maybe 20?
THE FOOD: A lot of the menu looks good, and they do have Taco Tuesday everyday, 5 for $10.
I got 2 lengua tacos and Tampiqueño, which is 2 cheese enchiladas, flank steak, rice and charro beans.
The lengua tacos were good, and had some kind of thin gravy on them. First time I had gravy on lengua tacos. But it tasted good. Cilantro and onion.
They had a very tasty salsa (green) that had a little heat and good flavor.
The charro beans were good and had good flavor also.
The cheese enchiladas were a "miss" for me. Kind of bland, tasteless.
The skirt steak was really good. Had a nice char on it, seasoned well and very tender. The rice is not typical spanish rice. It's really good though.
Fantastic restaurant! We used to go to their old location “la mansion” and continue to frequent this new spot and often order delivery and takeout. The food is incredibly flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Their salsa is homemade fresh and excellent. This is not a place where you will find watered down bland food. It’s authentic and packed with flavor and spice, so if you don’t like that, you may want to go somewhere else! They also have great margaritas. I recommend the top shelf ones - worth it in my opinion!
Edwin and his family who own and run this restaurant are also incredibly sweet and they will remember you if you are a regular. I believe they used to have a restaurant in San Antonio before moving here.
The tacos are very, very good! The margarita was excellent; I wish they would use a better tequila for the happy hr., but over all my first experience was ver good.
Tried every Taco they offered, and they were ALL absolutely spectacular. One better than the next. My personal faves were the Cochinita Pepil, Lengua, Asado de Puerco, and Pastor. An absolute gem, really nice owners, and hands down better than the Tacos I had previously at Val’s, Barracuda, El Pavo Real, Taqueria Guerrero, and Taqueria Corona. Best I’ve ever had in NO.
