First time trying Somali Food and it was delicious! Very similar to latin food with a twist of Indian herbs! I didn’t know what to expect and I was pleasantly surpised. I was given a complimentary Somali Soup. It’s like a Beef Stew but mainly beef & potatoes, thicker fluid consistency and loaded on black pepper! Sambuzza is like empanada but lighter and crispier! The “green” yogurt dip was so refreshing! Traditional Goat Curry plate was so tender and tasty! Not in the pics is Somali Tea! It reminds me of my mom’s homemade ginger milk tea! A must try for the adventurous palate!

God! I wish we had something remotely close to this east African cuisine in Dallas. Was one of the recommendation from DHRR and it was a wonderful experience. We got the family platter with goat Curry, jumbo steak and chicken. Plenty of flavorful food enough for our family of 5 for 2 meals. The tea and mango juice were also included in the meal. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. The wait was worthwhile.

Came here on a Sunday night for dinner. The location is in a shadier part of Lakr Street, so do be cautious of your surroundings. However, the food is great. The restaurant has a fast casual feel where you order at the counter and wait for your food. There is an attached banquet hall for parties. We ordered sambusas (Somali samosas), chicken cutlet, steak and rice, pasta and a wrap. Entrees average $10-$15, which is a little pricey in my opinion for the amount of food you get and the quality of the restaurant. Entrees come with a drink. Our food tastes fresh and came out within 20 minutes. I loved my steak and the cutlet was delicious. The sambusas could have been better, especially with the type of crust used. Overall, enjoyed the food. The service was pleasant. Would return.
