I ate here for the first time yesterday evening. The waitstaff was very friendly and quick with removing dirty dishes and providing everything requested. I had beef Biryani and garlic naan and it was the best I've ever eaten. I would definitely recommend eating here and can't wait to go here again.

Absolutely delicious! We had the appetizer platter, chicken shahi korma and chicken makhani(butter chicken). Our new favorite Indian restaurant that is worth the 30 minute drive.

Can't Go Wrong Here. Excellent, traditional Indian fare. A bit on the pricier side as far as Indian food goes in this town, but the atmosphere is really nice.
We stopped here for late afternoon lunch. Food was great, service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and modern. We definitely will be back!
It's been about two years since I had really good lamb shahi korma, and I tracked down the restaurants that offered it in Minneapolis and got third-party delivery service from Darbar India Grill just because I was craving it so badly. WELL WORTH IT. It was easily the best lamb shahi korma I have ever had. The vegetable samosas were also exemplary-- perfectly fried and crunchy on the outside. Their garlic naan was tasty but not something so over-powering that it would kill your date. I am so impressed with Darbar. Definitely going to become a go-to order.
Easily the BEST North Indian food in town. I know authentic North Indian food, and this is the best game in town. They also have an innovative take on ingredients, and frankly the best presentation and environment of any Indian restaurant in the Twin Cities. Service is also how it should be, friendly, prompt, and courteous, though not particularly informed.
This is Indian food made the right way, with good ingredients, and a balance of spices, with the complexity and flavor of the food intact.
On one of my many trips here, the only downside was that we ordered Flying Horse lager, the first couple bottles of which were flat, but they replaced them easily.
The food was amazing, service is solid, and the look of the place is great. If you haven't been there already, you must go, and try my favorite dish, the Tandoori Shrimp!
Best authentic Indian restaurant. They make each dish/sauces from scratch individually for each order allowing you to specify how spicy you like you meal. My favorite is the chicken tikka masala medium spice with garlic naan. Oh and their Mojitos are unreal! My husband loves their chicken curry. You can't go wrong with any of their meals though. Great service, huge portions, very inexpensive. Must go!
Fabulous food, friendly service, great atmosphere, & hands-down the BEST Mojito in town!
5 stars. Loving this restaurant, finally great Indian food and service have landed in Minneapolis. Eat Indian food throughout the world, especially London and New York and this place is very very good. My wife and I stop in weekly after we get a serious "Jones" for their spicy chicken soup and Flying Horse beer.
Good Indian. My girlfriend and I have been to Darbar a couple of times and had good meals both times. We love the samosas with mint and tamarind sauce. We have both really enjoyed the Chicken Kashmiri!!! I tried the biryani on my fist visit, which was ok I've had better it seemed a little bland. The Naan has been great both times we visited. All in all this is a decent place to eat.
Well worth the stop.... I got Lamb Curry and Naan (tried both the Lamb and Garlic) To-Go. The bartender explained to me that their "hot" was "Minnesota hot" - so I went for it. I love spicy food, and it was delicious - and I know I will order it again.
What I am most in love with about the place is that I can order with confidence - I am allergic to coconut milk, which is in SO many curries. Evidently, they cook in Northern India style, which does not use coconut. It's like a world of awesomeness has just opened up to me.
The bartender said they have a wait for dinner on the weekends, so make a reservation. If there's no street parking, there's a lot in the back that's $1.50 per 1/2 hour.
What a find!. We've been back several times and never had anything was less than awesome. Service has always been attentive and friendly. Meat is always so tender, sauces perfect. The samosas are large and their dipping sauces very tasty. Love the Rogan Josh, Chicken Biryani... everything we've tried. Except the gulab jamen -- not enough cardamom. Atmosphere is beautiful.
It was a bit crowded on the eve of thanksgiving night as no other nearby restaurants were open that day. We loved the chicken curry, garlic nun and gulab jamun. There’s a 20% service charge added to the bill which we didn’t find anywhere in the menu (might have missed it). Other than that, good place to try some spicy meals.
I had this DoorDashed to me. Food alone was 5 stars very very good! My issues were they provided no silverware or plate/bowl or napkins. But the food was fantastic Garlic Naan was very good perfectly cooked. Makehani (Gf) I got the chicken hot and it was great perfect amount of spice for what I was looking for tonight. Just a touch of a lip tingle. Would order again just was disappointed with lack of things to eat it with. Again the food is top notch definitely give them a try!

One word…Awesome!!! 10 out of 10!! From the ambiance to the service and then the Wonderful food that came out hot, fresh and delicious!! This was my first time but definitely not my last!!
Dar Bar is an excellent Indian food experience. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food were all so so good. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back!!
I come here almost every week just because I love the flavor, the ambiance, and the awesome customer service. I haven’t had a bad experience yet!
I’m visiting from CA and have had a lot of Indian food, this place blew me away! The service was amazing and the food was worth 10 stars! It was super close to the Moxy hotel where I’m staying. So super convenient, amazing food, and amazing service! 10/10 will come here again!
Dar Bar is one of my favorite spots in the cities. If you’re looking for flavorful, hot, with spices- like food you should then pay a visit here. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is set just right with the candle lit dinner, LED mood light, and orchestra covers of pop songs. I bring all my friends here and they all love it too.
It was beautiful, the food was great and the waitresses were so sweet!!
