The location threw me off a little because its tucked away in a bike park, but the food did not disappoint. We got the gumbo and jambalaya egg rolls. The gumbo is very flavorful. I mixed my cornbread into it and it reminded me of my grandpa's. I thought the jambalaya egg rolls were going to be an appetizer, but they are big enough to be a meal in itself.

As a Gulf Coaster recently turned Midwesterner, I can say that this place has made my transition comforting - legit southern comfort food! The gumbo, red beans & rice, and cold beer selections have made Cajun twist my go to spot when a hankering sets in. While there are few other , but limited options that I’ve found around the Twin Cities, Cajun Twist is the closest to hit home that I’ve found. If you visit the Loppet center, know a thing or two about Cajun food, then you know this might be the best option in town!!

Love the authentic tasting gumbo which came with rice and cornbread. Catfish platter was good, asked for tartar sauce, which came in a spicy version which we liked. Also tried the Nawlins Dog, came with fries which were soggy, I prefer crispy fries but won't hold it against them.

Stopped in to try Cajun Twist and what a treat. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. We ended up getting the Shrimp Po Boy, Bayou Burger, and Red Beans with Rice. All were fantastic - get a few extra napkins for the po boy. Rice and beans came with cornbread that was delicious. Worth a stop in if you find yourself on Theo Wirth Parkway. We will definitely be back with friends and family!

First outdoor lunch of 2019. Dining with the canadians (geese) eh. Very good sandwiches and fries. B had a shrimp poboy, I had a beef poboy . Good selection of craft beers along with soft drinks. Next time the muffeleta sandwich. Definitely on the return list.

Excellent seasoning made the fries and zydeko burger a delight. Pleasant and helpful staff. And you can eat (and drink!) outdoors on the Loppet Trailhead patio.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Didn’t know what I wanted and was helped through the menu. Final recommendation was “yaka Mein”. Thank you, broth was perfectly seasoned and filled with tender beef, and spicy shrimp. The side of corn bread definitely didn’t come from a box!

Located just inside the TrailHead activity center CajunTwist is great for a quick cup of hot chocolate or a trip down the bayou with their creative Cajun menu. Parking is ample as there are many outdoor activities taking place in the park Seating inside is first come first serve. Very reminiscent of lunch room seating. This activity center recently opened and is bustling with families and outdoor activity enthusiasts. The food is authentic REAL New Orleans style eats. I tried the Nawlins dog. It was true to form on a toasted bun with the right amount of spice! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The beef po boy was also delicious! Stacked high with juicy beef, fresh veggies and a tangy Nawlins sauce. All washed down with authentic sweet tea! The full menu goes live next week and is available on GrubHun! Can't wait to order a crawfish seafood boil! What a treat for these of us who know REAL Nawlins cookin
