I don’t often write reviews, but I feel like I need to give a special shoutout, from one server to another.
On July 20th, 2018, a friend decided to have a birthday outing here. Some people stayed the whole time, some people popped in and out, but at some point during the evening, our server, SUE, had nearly twenty open tabs just for our group. She was absolutely AMAZING. She balanced her attention between our large group and her other tables, she fetched different food and drink orders (plus refills!) throughout our time there (again, anywhere between six and twenty people at any point during our three hours there), and she was pleasant the entire time!!! I can’t say enough good things about SUE.
This was my second time at Psycho Suzi’s and I quite enjoyed it. The only complaint I have is the parking situation. Both times I visited I had to park several blocks away in a residential area. Oh well. It gave me a chance to walk off a few of their DELICIOUS tater tots. :)

Fabulous summer patio, delicious pizza and drinks. Cathy was the most adorable waitress ever! She made the experience even more fun. Don’t forget to tip your servers well! Especially those that give such excellent service.
Before this place is listed as permanently closed, I want to leave a review letting people know that the memories I have had here were just great. During the summer on a hot day, this was just the perfect location to grab a drink and sit by the river, while enjoying some performances that perfectly complemented the atmosphere.
I have had a few different types of drinks and each one has its unique style. Regardless of what drink one chooses, they have the ability to make it tiki themed as well, which would, once again, totally complement the atmosphere. There were also seats that allowed people to sit in them in kind of a hammock mode (not sure how to call it when it's not laying down). And decorations were also in alignment with its tiki theme.
The pizzas were pretty good as well! They were relatively smaller in portion but tasted good. I wouldn't consider food as a review priority for this place because it is mostly famous for its drinks and atmosphere, and both are nothing short of great!
I will miss all the memories from this place as it has allowed me to socialize with others in relaxing manners on summer days.
Really cool atmosphere for a fun night out with friends. Were here in colder season but have heard great things about their outside seating facing the river, excited to go back in the warmer season and check out the patio. Their pizzas are absolutely delicious! I’m not huge fan of rum cocktails in general, but if you are, their cocktails are really exciting! Smoking brownie dessert was also really fun and delicious!
Great theming with the decor! Not a large menu for food, but what they did have was really good. Server doesn't come to your table to take your order. You order through an app. When the server came with our order though they were very nice and kept up with soda refills. I probably would have given five stars, but it was a little pricey. It was something different for us.
Held my birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 party here. The place was crowded as heck because it's closing in a week, but the good music and atmosphere made up for the glitches like they ran out of beer! 😆😆😆.... at a bar!
Psycho suzi is an okay Tiki Bar, by default since it’s one of the limited Tiki Bars in MN. It has a large nice patio along the river for warm nights. Inside the decor is 70s tiki with bamboo and palm top to bottom. The carpet is neat- printed wood planks. There’s a sizable drink menu but is not served in Tiki Mugs unless you decide to purchase the mug. We had pizza, it was okay- nothing special. Drinks are below average. Ambiance is fun but not much else going on there.
The atmosphere was perfect for summer!! Great view of the river and cute patio furniture. Many craft cocktails to choose from! One eyed Willie wad my favorite
Only a handful of restaurants or bars are privileged to have riverfront property. Psycho Suzie’s is one of those places. In the warm months, the patio is irresistible, and the atmosphere is like a vacation. Be warned - the drinks are some of the strongest in the city!
Psycho Suzi’s Waterfront Lounge is a retro tiki bar and pizza paradise overlooking the high seas of the Mississippi River in Nordeast Minneapolis. Plus they have the most breathtaking industrial river views from our waterfront decks. With two levels and multiple bars, Psycho Suzi’s magic and mystery awaits.
Coming to food, Appetizers that steal the show at Psycho Suzi’s - Each bite is a culinary masterpiece, perfectly crafted to awaken your taste buds. From the tantalizing Cheese sliders to the savory hot honey pizza (Veg), every dish is a testament to the chef's expertise. A must-try for all food enthusiasts!
Now, let's talk about the drinks. Oh, my goodness! The mixologists at "The Bar" are true artists, crafting concoctions that is visually stunning! Their signature cocktails are the stars of the show. I highly recommend trying their "Virgin cockatiel," (The Only Non alcoholic Drink in the menu) a tropical paradise in a glass It’s a refreshing blend of fresh ginger and fruits perfectly balanced and utterly addictive🌴
Lastly, the service at "The Bar" was exceptional. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing recommendations based on personal preferences.
Remember, my fellow food enthusiasts, reservations are the secret to unlocking a world of culinary delights. Reserve your table, kick back, and relish the moments that await you at Psycho Suzi’s
Very interesting place—it's a full tiki-themed bar along the Mississippi River waterfront. Staff was very friendly and the array of drinks was very unique. I especially enjoyed getting to keep the special mug (after paying extra for the drink). A must-visit, unique spot in Minneapolis.
No servers, you only order online which is super weird. Next time I’ll sit at the bar for recommendations. Otherwise, cute tropical spot. Great aesthetic, good drinks. Beautiful outdoor area!
