I had the pleasure of visiting Couvillion last week. The prices are on point and the food was amazing! I couldn’t believe the drink prices for the quality and variety available. The inside atmosphere and service was great. The outside patio is a must on a nice evening!!!! I can really wait to get back to enjoy the outside and mixed drink from the bar menu!

This place was so cute! Had a nice patio but we stayed inside to beat the heat. My friend and I decided to split an entree and appetizers. We got the Cauliflower (cooked with a few crispy burnt edges covered with a honey mustard vinaigrette and capers! ), Brussel Sprouts (if you like spice-you will totally dig these! They are spicy deliciousness), Cornbread (Smokey flavor with honey butter!!) and the Shrimp and Grits (the most perfect comfort food!). I would love to go back and try the Duck Creole and everything really.. it all looked great. The server was friendly and helpful as well. We really enjoyed our dinner at Couvillion!
This was our first visit to Couvillion after it made our list, having seen it in Louisville mag's restaurant issue. We were blown away by the smoked cornbread, which had an amazing crunch on the outside, and the butter was of course delicious. I got the duck confit with ricotta dumplings, amazing - loved the spice and the fluffy dumplings! My husband got the NOLA style shrimp and grits which was everything you could want from such a dish, plus some. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Overall I can't wait to go back and try more things!
Edit: Went back and tried the griddled chicken thighs. Best. Meal. Ever. Definitely try it when you go in!
Nice place to enjoy some traditional creole food. The duck creole was good and very rich, the pork rinds and cornbread were delicious, and the shrimp and grits were spot on. The staff was friendly and helpful when giving recommendations. The service was fast too. Check this place out if you’re in the area.
What a gem nestled in Schnitzelburg! Great New Orleans cuisine.
Had the Roasted Cauliflower appetizer. It was the only mildly disappointing thing of the night. Very, very vinegary! 😳
My wife had the onion burger (sans the bun). Loved it. She also had the brussel sprouts for a side. Spicy, tasty! She cleaned both plates.
I had the Jambalaya and Shrimp. There was a ton of it! Thoroughly enjoyed it, and pleased that I had some to take home!
The place was moderately busy, but not slammed. One thing they could work on, is making sure the servers do not overlap food! We were still working on our appetizer, when the entrees were brought out. I despise overlap! Suddenly struggling to find room to fit everything on the table... 🤨
The food was so good, however, I was able to forgive that! Highly recommend. We will definitely be there again, especially since it's 5 minutes from the house!
If you are looking for good new orleans style food this is the place. Had crawfish ettoufee and it was served with catfish fillets on top. Everyone in my family loved their dish.
Very good food. Make sure to try the roasted cauliflower and pepper jelly slaw. You can spend anywhere between $5 and $20 on an entree. Everything is available as a side. The drinks are terrific. We felt like it was a great deal. Our waitress was also tending bar which was okay for the most part, but she definitely spent 15 minutes behind the bar straight right about the time we were ready to go prolonging our stay.
This place was amazing. We stopped by on our way back from spring break. The portions were good. The food was delicious; I got the jambalaya and it was perfect. The art on the walls is for sale. The ambiance is chill.
Been to Couvillion twice and have enjoyed it both times. I've had the turnip cakes, boudin meatloaf, grits, brussel sprouts, and infamous pork rinds covered in cheeto dust. They have a happy hour from 4pm-6pm right now and have a list of special priced drinks on it. We tried the Old Fashioned and French 75. We will be back for more food and drink! Lots of parking and situated in Germantown, so lots more great bars and restaurants right around the corner.
Southern style cajun. Every dish we had was delicious. Must haves... Cornbread, Fried Pork Rinds, Shrimp and Grits, collard greens.
Some of the best and most inventive Cajun inspired dishes north of Louisiana. Bring a friend or two because the portions are big, big, big! Fast and friendly wait staff and casual atmosphere.
They take reservations! Beautiful ambiance, excellent service, good prices, shareable portions, extensive alcohol list that includes several NON-ALCOHOLIC options (this excites me because I'm sober). I went with my family. We all got something different and shared. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. We all agreed we would go back.
