If you are even near Louisville, this place is worth a detour. My first time visiting this location and the best way to summarize it is simply: WOW! I don't believe I've ever been to a better restaurant in my life. You have to check it out.
* Amazing Atmosphere! Its dark, modern, classic, warm, and welcoming all at the same time. Themed in almost a black, white, and wood motif it is a very comfortable place to dine.
* Great Customer Service. The wait staff is absolutely top notch. Very polite and knowledgeable. This is my first actual stay in Louisville so my knowledge is very limited, but my waiter gave me plenty of sight seeing locations and recommendations.
* Great food. I ate their porterhouse steak with a side of jumbo asparagus drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. It was out of this world! By far the best steak I've ever had. I drank a moscato wine which was delicious. Their wine selection is something to be envious over.
We went for our anniversary dinner. First time for both of us. Had a lovely evening! The grilled oysters had us both reminiscing about New Orleans. So yummy. Ordered the salad from the seasonal menu with goat cheese and beets it was incredible! The service was fantastic from being greeted when we first walked in, having my coat taken and checked, the special complimentary anniversary picture, to drinks always being filled, to our waiter Kerry. He knew the menu well had great wine recommendations and answered any and all questions that we had about our food selections. He was very attentive and overall made it a great night!!
Food was amazing… steak 🥩 and lobster 🦞 were perfectly cooked. I was with my parents celebrating my father’s birthday 🎉 🎂 🥳 Morton’s made it very special. Keep up the great work, I highly recommend and appreciate the service that Nathan our server provided. Keep up the great work. Oh yeah the desserts were 💯 🔥 💣.com 🫶🏽✊🏽
This was our second year of having Thanksgiving dinner at Morton’s. All the food was prepared exactly as we asked and the taste was beyond comparison to any other restaurant in the city. Our server Sydney was impeccable and went over and above to make sure we enjoyed our experience and our meal at Morton’s.
Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville is a classic American steakhouse with a focus on high-quality ingredients and attentive service. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Louisville, and its elegant atmosphere makes it a perfect place for a special occasion meal.
I recently had the opportunity to dine at Morton's Louisville, and I was very impressed with the overall experience. I started my meal with the lobster bisque, which was rich and flavorful. The bisque was perfectly seasoned and contained generous chunks of lobster meat.
For my main course, I ordered the Cajun ribeye. The steak was cooked to perfection and was incredibly juicy and tender. The Cajun seasoning added a nice kick of flavor without being overpowering. I also ordered a side of creamed spinach, which was creamy and delicious.
For dessert, I shared the chocolate lava cake with my friend. The lava cake was warm and gooey on the inside and was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect way to end a delicious meal.
Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure to check in on us frequently and offered recommendations for food and wine pairings.
Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was elegant and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special occasion meal.
**Special mention:**
* Cajun ribeye: The Cajun seasoning added a nice kick of flavor without being overpowering. The steak was cooked to perfection and was incredibly juicy and tender.
* Lobster bisque: Rich and flavorful, with generous chunks of lobster meat.
If you're looking for a classic American steakhouse experience, Morton's The Steakhouse in Louisville is a great option.
The service is bar none best hands down. Our waiter, Alex, was on point. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. It was our anniversary, and they had the menus modified to say "Happy Anniversary" and the date. Top notch attention. And little happy anniversary with hearts confetti on the table. This place is a class act that will be hard to compete with!!
Our server Jennifer was truly AMAZING
Hands down 1 of the best servers I've ever encountered. Love her, she is definitely an asset to the business ♡
Fantastic atmosphere at Morton's Steakhouse tonight. With great friends and family! When you come in from the outside you walk into a small foyer, then through another door and short hallway to another door. Honestly it takes you back in time as if it were the 1920s or 30s. It's a really cool eclectic steakhouse. Wasn't able to look around at pictures like I wanted to because we were running late. But it's got a great vibe! The whose who have all been there and no telling what went on there back in the day and the deals that were made at those tables.
The food here is amazing. The steak bacon is one of the best appetizers In existence. Worth a try if you’ve never been.
The steaks all smelled fabulous. We tried the dry aged KC strip. It was well marbled and full of flavor. The butter on top was just enough to soften the charred edges.
The sides were great as well. You can easily split a side with another person. The Brussels sprouts are cooked with bacon. They’re good, but not as sweet as I was expecting.
As for desert save room for the lava cake but be sure to tell your waiter/ waitress ahead of time- they make it to order so they need 15 minutes.
10/10 would do again.
For the past 4 years, my husband and I have celebrated our anniversary here and have zero intentions of changing this. They pull out all the stops to make your occasion feel extremely special. Our table had "happy anniversary" confetti, customized anniversary menus, and they also offered to take our photo and put it on the table for us PLUS offered us a complimentary dessert for choosing them to celebrate it with them. I had the filet and lobster tail with the lobster mac. It was DELICIOUS, and I even had leftovers. The creme brulee is my favorite dessert, but their chocolate cake was also fantastic! You can't go wrong with Morton's!
Food, delicious. (Cameron)
Service, on point. (thanks Liza)
Atmosphere....extremely loud. To the point you have to yell to talk to one another.
We couldn't believe how loud it was. Everyone was laughing and yelling the entire night so loudly to overcome everyone else's volume.
Desert was good but honestly it's exactly the same lava cake as Dominos pizza.
Also, the Bourbon selection was not great. So if you like a really good Bourbon like me...look elsewhere.
Hats off though to Liza for for the friendly service which we enjoyed very much. If it wasn't for her service and smile we probably would have not stayed for the entire meal. Also to Cameron for making our Filets to perfection.
Jennifer was very knowledgeable and attentive without been to excessive with her service. She allow us to celebrate our anniversary with out th constant pop in.. The food she recommended was beyond great.. the personal touch on the table with our own Anniversary menus was great.. and picture.. can't wait to go back.. well worth it
