This place is so LEGIT!!! We’ve been to the similar place in Paris (St Germaine I think) and this is just as good. Every course was not only beautiful food porn but so delicious. My wife for the 12oz Wagyu ribeye and it melted on the tongue and the fried shizo(?) peppers were a nice companion to cut the fat. Decadence all the way around!

This was an exquisite experience, from the service to the amazing tastes. If you dine here, pay attention. Every detail in the food and how they serve you is carefully planned and executed.
The balance of tastes are amazing. We sat at the tasting bar, which is recommended.
Granted, this is the most we have ever spent on a meal, *ever*, and we did the full tasting menu, but it was a very special occasion. It was worth it, to us.
I have read other reviews where you don’t get much for your money here. Go somewhere else, if that is your goal.

Beautiful decor and excellent Michelin star food! We tried the degustation menu with venison for mains. The Foie Gras mousse with Parmesan foam which was a unique dish... we also had the tarts platter. The famous whipped potatoes were light and fluffy. We also enjoyed their meat and seafood selection. Can’t really go wrong with a well-acclaimed Michelin star restaurant, quite a hefty sum to pay for it though

This was my first dining experience at a Michelin star restaurant and I was left mind blown. The restaurant has a small seating and we were lucky enough to get a booking considering it was New Year's week. We were seated at the bar and saw that tables were reserved for larger groups. But upon spending five minutes we realized these were the best seats on the block as you got a first hand view of the running of a Michelin start kitchen. The chef's work station is totally opened to the diner and it gives great pleasure in watching food being prepared with such delicateness and charm.
The bread basket is free and came with butter though some breads were a bit on on the harder side. We were started off with the amuse bouche which was foie gras reduction and parmesan foam and a glass of their rose wine.
For appetizers we had the L'oeuf (soft fired eggs with smoked salmon) and Les Escargot (snails served with polenta). It was my first time trying snails and I wans't the least bit put off with them - great preparation.
Mains were Le Boeuf (braised beef cheek with red wine reduction served with mashed potatoes) and Le Homard (tagliatelle pasta with lobster). The former was cooked to perfection with a great flavour of wine running through. The latter was a frothy preparation reminding you of the sea with every bite. The dishes were balanced and flavourful.
For dessert we selected Les Cafe but due to some error we were served Les Tartes. Upon mentioning the same to the waiter he let us enjoy the tarts while he prepared our order for us. The tarts were a mouthful with different selections. But what was truly amazing was the Coffee dessert with its impeccable presentation and flavour profile allowing all the nuances and textures that went into it to collectively make a bang on dessert.

What a truly wonderful culinary experience.  It was my second time going to a one-starred Michelin restaurant, with the first one being a dim sum place in Hong Kong.  Let's just say this is my first one in North America ;)

I remember coming here when I was not too hungry and that ruined my experience a bit, but I think what ruined it the most was the bottle of wine that I ordered.  It was a good bottle but I think I drank faster than the rest of my friends and I intoxicated myself to the point where I couldn't taste the wonderful food as well.  So yeah, don't come here full and don't drink so fast.

Now that we got those things out of the way, I don't know where to start.  The bread.  I ate the bread like they were free (and they were part of the meal...) because they tasted so damn good.  The butter was out of this world good.  The last time I had such wonderful breads was in Paris.  Seriously, they know how to make their bread.  It was a good start to the evening.  The second course was this foam thing that tasted cheesy and stuff.  Yeah, I can't remember what it was called because it wasn't on the menu.  Just order Menu B and hope they haven't changed their free, unwritten stuff.  I think it was foie gras port reduction and parmesan foam actually.  The service was excellent so feel free to ask your server.

The mashed potato was unbelievably good!  It was so simple yet it made such a lasting impression.  It was a taste like no other.  Something I truly haven't experienced before.  The "Le Canard" and "Le Cochon" were OK but I didn't feel the one-starred Michelin-ness as much with those dishes.  The "La Dorade" and "L'oeuf" were more interesting I found.  Last but not least, the "Le Cafe" was a truly amazing dessert and I'm not a sweets person.

Overall, I'm happy to have come here and it is a good deal for a one-starred Michelin restaurant.  The $65 2013 chablis wine made things a tiny bit more expensive but it was split between 4 people.  $109 for Menu B and $81 for Menu A were pretty reasonable.  The server did warn me that I'd get full with Menu B and boy was he right.  Even if I had come here hungry I'd be full by the end of the meal.  Just go easy on the drinks or increase your alcohol tolerance and your meal will be more than enjoyable.

Joel Robuchon is known as the “Chef of the Century”, and L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon is a one-star Michelin restaurant with a more casual atmosphere. Although we weren't blown away by the food, it was still a good experience and much better bang for buck than his other restaurant.

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, 1-star Michelin Restaurant!. While hubby and I was planning our early summer vacation, we knew that we wanted to treat ourselves to a really good restaurant while we were in Vegas. MGM Grand is home to Joël Robuchon’s 1-star and 3-star Michelin restaurants by the Ka! Theatre by Cirque du Soleil. Chef Joël Robuchon is better known as the chef of the century because he has the most Michelin stars than any other chef in the world! He currently holds a total of 25 stars combined at all of his restaurants, which is truly incredible.

We had been looking forward to visiting Joel's restaurant ever since we attended the Vegas Uncorked Grand Tasting a few years ago. Joel had a table set up at that event that included his signature Langoustines which made us want to visit his restaurant so we made sure we stopped there on this visit.

Upon arriving, we were seated at the bar seats.. it surprised me a little as there were perfectly good tables but apparently they only seat parties of 4 or more at the tables. After about 10 minutes I understood why they sat us at those seats. It actually added to the whole experience, essentially every person sitting at the bar were treated like they were at a chef's table inside a kitchen. The seats gave you a courtside view of the kitchen and you begin to appreciate how every plate is meticulously made, how clean the kitchen is, no yelling or screaming 'a la Hell's Kitchen'. The chefs all knew what they were doing, you saw the head chef extraditing each ticket, tasting plates every so often and whispering to the chef's who adjusted the plates. You'll notice them cleaning up the plate before it went out, even using tweezers they each had in their pockets to ensure that the details were right. Another couple sat down next to us and had similar inquisitions as to why they were seated at the bar, after about 10 minutes I noticed that they also 'understood' as I did that it actually added to the experience.

We went with the 9-course seasonal tasting menu and I enjoyed every dish. They were portioned so that you could get through the 9 courses without being overly stuffed, they warn you that the 9-course takes about 2 hours to get through and they were accurate. Needless to say, that every dish is well balanced and flavorful and you're constantly anticipating on what flavors the next dish will bring. The progression is well thought out, with flavors intensifying and dishes getting 'heavier' as you worked through the courses. I won't go into too much detail about each dish, i'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Do note that the seasonal discovery menu on the website doesn't always match up with what they are serving in the restaurant, I noticed some patrons asking about this after they had sat down.

In hindsight though and my recommendation is that couples should consider the flexible set-menu where you choose 2 apps and 2 mains as it would give you 4 apps and 4 mains to share, a great way to get a larger sampling of what they offer. In this menu the portions are slightly larger and definitely 'shareable'. All in all, it's a great dining experience... enjoy the atmosphere, the food and treat yourself to a show after dinner, KA is just steps away.

Our dinner at L'Atelier was beyond perfection. We had a great view of their open kitchen, superb service, and most of all, fantastic food! We ordered their seasonal discovery menu and was pleasantly surprised at every dish that we were presented with.

Their cocktail selection was small but delicious, and of course their wine selection is incredible. The service we received during our dinner was polite and on point; the waiters weren't friendly too much (ie. didn't make small talk with us or anything), but everything we needed and wanted were provided within minutes of asking.

Overall, there was nothing we were disappointed with, and we would definitely return here for dinner next time we're in Vegas!

Phenomenal. Every award and MICHELIN Star is well deserved. The service is as it should. Each plate was presented with elegance, high standard as each plate deserves. Each bite is an explosion of flavors in your mouth. We decided not to proceed with wine pairing but to stay with cocktails. Each drink that came out of that the bar tasted great. The atmosphere is very calm and intimate.

Definitely a dinner to remember. My husband and I came into this dinner not really knowing what to expect but just trusting the reviews and the name. We had an amazing tasting experience. We both got the tasting menu for $125 each with some dishes having some additional costs but absolutely worth it. Loved everything from appetizers to main course and dessert. They do change their menu seasonally I believe but I would trust them on their wonderful blends of flavors and beautiful presentations. We also loved getting to see the kitchen in action and that is what makes this restaurant unique from his other restaurant next door. Great food, amazing service, we shall be back again!

The food is gently and artfully prepared and is excellent. As that usually goes, you don’t get a lot of it, but you can fill a little in with the bread. The wait staff and all the service providers at the restaurant are friendly and welcoming. You can tell many have been doing their work professionally for a long time as they navigate matters with ease. We sat at the bar though the table seating is not far so we all get to see into the process of preparing food and hear a call and response thing they do. It is charming and not disturbing. You feel entertained. Its not the spot for a quiet dinner, but stay home if you want that. Its Vegas baby!

In Vegas, only successful restaurants can make it on the strip. It takes a level of dedication and quality unseen anywhere else to stay alive in the competitive atmosphere of the strip. Joel Rubicon succeeds above and beyond this challenge. As we entered the restaurant, we were guided to our bar table overlooking the kitchen. From there, we could see the chefs taking their craft to the next level, making precision placements on every dish to elevate it to quality above Michelin Star level. Every little thing on every plate served a purpose, and was plated beautifully. Our waiter kindly explained the menu and our different options thoroughly. We expected an amazing meal, but thought it would be less special then Blue Hill, a Michelin star restaurant in NYC. Blue Hill didn’t stand a chance against Joel Rubicon. From the first dish to the last, everything was bursting at the seams with flavor, style, and pizazz. Things that sound absurd to make as a dish transformed into an experience of a lifetime every time I took a bite. This experience is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, and if you are looking at this review thinking to yourself, “Maybe I should try this place”, go for it. This restaurant has taken up my number 1 restaurant slot, and it would take a miracle for anything to beat this. Joel Rubicon should be proud of this restaurants dedication and determination to serve only the best and most delicious, taste bud tantalizing food of a lifetime. 100/10, definite meal every time I’m in Vegas.

Wonderful culinary experience. We did the Discovery menu and had no complaints with any of the courses. I never knew food could taste that good. The elements of each dish tasted amazing on its own but taking a bite with all the elements together took the dishes to the next level. All the flavors worked so well together and there was a ton of umami. None of the ingredients overpowered the dish. So harmonious. I never liked dill but one of the courses had dill and I can't imagine it without. My husband who is far from vegetarian loved the comte cheese souffle course. My favorite (by a hair because everything was so good) was the cod with champagne sauce. Honestly just when you thought things couldn't get better, they did. We were also brought out an extra dessert on the house for my birthday which was also delicious. I hope to revisit sometime in the future if it revisit Vegas. Highly recommend for an experience you won't forget. 10 out of 5 stars!

Chef Jackson is super talented and creative, flavours are on point. As a vegetarian, I truly enjoyed the courses, paired with fantastic list of wines. My partner had the full spectrum of choices and was delighted throughout! Well done chef. Well done to your team. We'll be back.

The wife and I went for our anniversary and were treated with the upmost respect, after not being allowed in for her shoe choice. Not the best first impression, but we're gonna let that one slide (pun intended) because the rest was simply amazing and rules are rules. I ordered the 8 course with quail and she got the 5 course. All I can say is if you get the chance to eat here, you will NOT be disappointed. Absolutely the best food of our lives bar none. Every dish was perfectly explained, plated, and presented. The kitchen was spotless the entire time. Even gave us a little anniversary present. This is THE best restaurant we have ever been to. Thanks for having us.

This place is a once in a lifetime fine dinning experience you will never forget. The ambiance is perfection, sets the mood for a romantic evening out. Forewarned, this place is very pricey but we’ll worth the price. The service is impeccable, and attentive to your every need. We started out with some delicious cocktails to set the mood. They have two different kinds menu services; the tasting menu and then set menu choices where you pick a few items from entrees and then desert. Having these ranges of choices is great, and allows you to curtail dinning around those choices. They brought out bread and French salted butter to start the evening. We went with the roe to start with, moved onto the venison and game entrees, and slowly made our way thru the desert sweets they brought out. The food is unforgettable in every way. The deserts didn’t stop there, they have a desert cart after that is impossible to say no to as well. Overall this fine dinning experience is worth the price, and you will never forget it! I know we won’t ever!
