This place is near and dear to my heart. I first went here as a 20 year old UCSD student in the late 90s and continued to eat here regularly until leaving San Diego 3 years ago. Whenever I'm back in San Diego it will be one of the first places I visit.
It simply is the best kebabs I've had in my life. I say this as someone who lived in NYC and has traveled around the world a fair bit. Sure, you have to put in an order early during the lunch rush, but there is a reason for it.
Tried house kebab sandwich and it was really good. Everything is made fresh so it takes some time but worth it.
Here I finally tasted Persian kebab. Other restaurants are not even close to the real taste.

I used to come here as a student at UCSD, mostly for takeout, but sometimes eating at the small chairs and tables outside. I still come here, 18+ years now, that’s my recommendation there. When you come, I recommend everything. The same old guy still works there, and always has, and I pray every time I go there he will still be there. Thank you.
My favorite place to have Persian food. The food is very health and has daily (during weekdays) specials for authentic Persian dishes (Tahchin, Fesenjoon, Ghormehsabzi, khoseshun bademjan). Fully recommend the place for delicious and health food. Hooshang (the owner) has a great sense of humor. Semi self serving service style with very good ambient. It is very close to UCSD in walking distance - 10 minutes walk to heart of uCSD campus. The menu is very well priced!

A cozy and chill place! Wonderful owner and cute service! Mr. Hooshang & his wife are very kind and funny! Make sure to call and order your food 45 minutes in advance! The house kabab is highly recommended but their chicken kabab is also good! I love their playlist, I think the music make the place even more comfortable and beautiful! I go there every time I visit La Jolla!

If you want to have a satisfying Persian Meal .. This is your place to visit. The Chicken is soft and tender whereas the Beef Kebab is juicy and well spiced and definitely have then with white rice and butter. The restaurant is managed by a family and I would advise you to call them to check if there is Beef or Chicken available because it is freshly prepared on daily basis and it sells out fast.
