I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. I have tried the 2 combo platter twice. Fried shrimp and blackened scallops. amazing!! The price is right...serving size perfect. Comes with 2 sides. Wide variety of drink menu too. Service is friendly.
This place had really good food. The service was awesome. The server moved a little slow but it didn't matter. She was pleasant and the food came out quicker than we expected. Please note. The platter for two is really a platter for 3-4. And I am a big man! Will definitely return again.
We heard so much about this place last Sunday how could we not check it out. They did not dissappoint at all. The service and the meal was Awsome. My only complaint is that the delicious freshly made deviled crab needed more crab but they were still very delicious. Everything was as it should be in a Seafood Restaurant in a costal city, Fresh Hot and Abundant! All I can say is It's Fresh Florida Seafood done right. Yummy!
Sometime, it can be a good thing to strike off on your own, like I did today. You get to pick the place with out debate, about distance, food type, cost, you can go where the road takes you. The road took me into Mandarin area today, on an Asian food quest. One of my favorite spots is on St Augustine Rd. on the way I spotted the sign for St Mary’s Seafood and More so I immediately had a change of plans. I did know their first restaurant is St Mary’s Ga and this sister restaurant piqued my curiosity.
My son and I had a late lunch there today. This was our first time and we found the food was excellent, freshly prepared and hot upon arrival at our table. Even though our waitress was new, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was the same as any fine dining establishment. I feel sure with these standards they will enjoy a prosperous New Year.
We got to Mary's at 345 pm on a Friday. We were seated immediately, waited only a short time for the waitress, Angela to get our drinks. We placed our order and it was on our table in less than 10 minutes. Angela is a great waitress and we will be asking for her the next time we eat at Mary's. The only drawback -- they have Pepsi products and not Coke. I prefer Diet Coke and not Pepsi. Food was really good. We will be going back for sure
Great food at a great price. The raw oysters are HUGE !! I'm talking 2X the size of a normal FL/LA oyster....the best deal on the menu.

YUMMY!. The hubby and I went here for dinner tonight (May 11, 2015). We had always wanted to try this place, but kept forgetting about it, it's in Mandarin, we live in Argyle. Well, we will be back! It was delicious!! We ordered the platter for 2, it should have read platter for 4!! We brought home two take out boxes of seafood! The clam strips were probably the most tender, tasty clam strips I've ever eaten! The scallops and shrimp were large and juicy! We did not care for the hush puppies or coleslaw, but the fries and fried mushrooms were delicious! Our waitress was attentive and was excited when she asked if we had been there before and we said no. She began to tell us all about the food and knew a lot about the food. She was very nice and kept our drinks filled! We will be back.....but we'll bring the kids next time to help eat all that food! :)
Great experience. The food was excellent, service very good. Portions are really big; and many choices on the menu. We will be going back and making this our regular place to get good seafood! Highly recommended.
Seafood was good, sides were lacking. We made a reservation for a party of 5. It was good we did, especially on a Sunday afternoon since it was crowded. They honored that on time. The food was pretty good. I say that because the sides that we got that were upgrades weren't as good or flavorful as the sides that came with the meal. The fried green tomatoes, fried mushrooms and grilled Mahi didn't have much flavor at all. The fried pickles appetizer was really lacking.They need to go with a different brand. A person in my party for blackened Mahi and loaded potato and it was great! My husband got a seafood platter for 1 and I tried his oysters, which were really good for this time of year. I ordered a Caramel, pecan cheesecake to go and it was great! Our waitress was a good one. I can't remember the little blonde's name.

I have found my new favorite seafood place, and it was 5 minutes away the whole time!! Moved nearby two years ago and never noticed the building! Tucked in next to Taco Bell and Hobby Lobby, St Mary's Seafood and More is a real treasure. I'm so used to generic seafood and deep overfried everything, I had lost a lot of faith in seafood places since I left New England years ago.
I have been shown the light again! :) Its not hard to access once you learn the pattern. The atmosphere is very "hometown restaurant" kind of feel with a bright disposition, and good touches of decor to keep it feeling warm.
The staff were all very friendly with our server (in photo!) being and absolute gem with courtesy and attentiveness. Now, down to the food. Hush puppies were hot, fresh, and done right. The clam chowder had that wonderful homemade texture and taste with the spice pallet just right. Very nice.
My wife and I split the platter for one, and let me tell you, that was a LOT of food for one. Clams, oysters, scallops, deviled crab, shrimp, and fish. The scallops and fish were blackened at the recommendation of our server and boy was she spot on. Great. Scallops were perfect and not overdone. Deviled crab in the shell was a real treat for a Chesapeake Bay boy like myself. Very nice. The oysters and clams were breaded, but VERY thin to provide a wonderful coating without hiding the wonderful seafood inside. Heck, even the sweet tea was done right.
My new fav seafood restaurant is under five minutes from my house. I'm a happy boy. We were there a bit earlier, before 5pm. They were setting up for some live music and the atmosphere was growing but in a very friendly kind of way.
Thank you St Mary's Seafood & More for a great meal and a new spot to frequent. :)
St Mary’s Seafood is a great place to grab some seafood. The prices are good and the portion sizes are also very good.
They staff is also very friendly. I usually get the clams or oysters, and my mom usually gets the platter. Both usually come with so much we always have leftovers to take home.
Definitely worth the visit if you like seafood.
As you enter this place. You are meet with smiles from the greeters to the server. We were seated fast. Our server Brittany was a delight. She suggested the collar greens ( thanks Brittany)with our platter for 2. We had coleslaw,fries, applesauce and greens. Them greens are fresh cut NOT that can stuff and is seasoned perfect with the meat in them. Now lets talk about this platter for 2. The fish fresh,scallops fresh, clams fresh. I swear there is a garden and a lake near by. The portion sides are great.
There is more then enough for 2. (I needed a togo bag) I have no complaints here. My hat off to the cooks and kitchen crew. Perfect.

The shrimp were really good and fresh. The booth seats need to be redone. The one we sat at had a sunken spot in it, and they are so low it made me feel like I was super old. I had to push myself up. The saving grace was that the food was good and the restroom was clean and smelled good. The salad bar could use a little work.
Simply great seafood reasonably priced! Same great place I remember going to in St. Mary's, Georgia many years ago! I am happy to see that it has expanded to Jacksonville and is thriving!
This was our 2nd time here, our kids wanted to go here so they could color the fish picture 😆 we really enjoy the food here, love the fried pickles they're kosher dills! The kids meal is big with a nice portion of fish so they can share it. The side vegetables are always super delicious. The fish is cooked perfectly & it's nice breading. I have have enjoyed everything but I don't recommend the mussels. I did not like the sauce they were in at all, it was way to strong with herbs & a weird tangy taste. It was too concentrated . I expected just a nice simple garlic white wine broth. That's all you need for mussels. Nice homemade breadsticks though.
This place always delivers amazing food. The staff is happy, pleasant and pro-active! The fish and other food items always come out hot and fresh! Super awesome that they often offer live, yet casual music on Thursday’s and Saturday’s. (noise level appropriate of course!). Great family-oriented place, very welcoming, and family-owned business in the community. The bartender “Hanan” is the best! She always grabs your glass as soon as it’s empty!
Met with family members for dinner and wait staff was very good. Our food selections were taken. We enjoyed our drinks, while our food was being prepared. Our waiter brought us our food and refilled our drinks and checked on us during our meal. We enjoyed our meal

Try the fried Alligator tails!! You will find purses, shoes and clothing are not all it’s good for! Make sure they don’t fry your oysters to death! If they do simply let them know and they will kindly fry more! Hush puppies are good but they don’t give you a lot. Their tartar sauce tastes very good.
I loved the fried green tomatoes and the homemade ranch was so awesome. The shrimps was great and Hanan and Louie where the best waitress, and waiter ever. They’re awesome they’re friendly make you feel at home they take good care of you and the food is delicious. I will definitely be back soon. My friend got a seafood platter and she loved it all.
