Great venue, good shows mostly cheap prices. Isn't really big but I like that because you get a more personal show closer to the stage. I suggest not paying extra for the seats up top, they all looked like they paid extra to watch a party down below at a far. If it's an opera or something like that then yes seats are nice.. But a rock or pop or mostly every other genre, the cheap standing tickets are the way to go!
My only issue here was that the restaurant was closed and the staff outside told us there was no food. We went all over downtown trying to find food and when we got back to the venue we found out they did in fact have food. The show was amazing and our seats were great. The staff was the only issue
Had a great time taking our nephews to a concert at the House of Blues. It’s a mid-sized venue with two tiers, a VIP section on the first floor and satellite bars on two walls. The bathrooms were nice and well maintained throughout the concert. Drinks were expensive, but that’s pretty much expected I think. Getting in and out was easy. Although we walked from a hotel and didn’t drive. They had a bag check and recheck area, so heads up.
My experience at House of blues has always been pretty good. The sound quality of the bands have been great. The people I meet pretty cool. The workers friendly. And best of all the place has great AC. Outdoor concerts are not cool to me when it's 100° outside.
What an amazing place to see a band performing. Intimate and close, seeing the Black Pumas there was an amazing experience. I can not wait to see more bands there.
I thought it was strange that HOB doesn’t have much coverage on their restaurant food. I thought it was pretty solid. We were there for a concert and arrived an hour before gates opened to grab dinner. Service was a bit slow, and we got nervous overhearing a server apologizing to another table for slow service. However, when the waiter finally came, he was super nice and got our order taken care of expeditiously without us needing to push him. I ordered the smashburger which easily satisfied my burger craving. Patties were cooked well, and not super flat. Juicy and a bit saucy. I decided to replace the fries with corn bread which was ok. My wife wasn’t that hungry, so she ordered a side of gumbo which was a pretty good portion size. She said she liked it. The drink (forgot the name) was the waiter’s favorite alcoholic drink. We were able to line up for the concert upstairs before the hour ended.
The place is big inside, nice venue, great space for a more intimate experience, nice bar area. The prices are ridiculous- cup of water $6. Otherwise I love this place.
Saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd, dude shreds that guitar. Venue was great, easy in easy out. Staff were all very helpful. Not to be seated though, tough to find seats in the balcony, lack of signage, but manageable. Love this place.
It was not bad. The bartenders are chill and the other workers are cool. The food ain't 5 star restaurant quality but it's something to munch on while u watch a performance
I love attending events here. You can come business casual, jeans, or dress up. It's all appropriate and seems natural and easy. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you and safe and feel pampered. There is a very quirky and luxurious feel to the event venue. The photos I am posting are from the far left balcony seats. There is not any bad seating in the venue.
