Review House Of Blues Restaurant & Bar Houston - Houston

Great venue, good shows mostly cheap prices. Isn't really big but I like that because you get a more personal show closer to the stage. I suggest not paying extra for the seats up top, they all looked like they paid extra to watch a party down below at a far. If it's an opera or something like that then yes seats are nice.. But a rock or pop or mostly every other genre, the cheap standing tickets are the way to go!

My only issue here was that the restaurant was closed and the staff outside told us there was no food. We went all over downtown trying to find food and when we got back to the venue we found out they did in fact have food. The show was amazing and our seats were great. The staff was the only issue

Had a great time taking our nephews to a concert at the House of Blues. It’s a mid-sized venue with two tiers, a VIP section on the first floor and satellite bars on two walls. The bathrooms were nice and well maintained throughout the concert. Drinks were expensive, but that’s pretty much expected I think. Getting in and out was easy. Although we walked from a hotel and didn’t drive. They had a bag check and recheck area, so heads up.

My experience at House of blues has always been pretty good. The sound quality of the bands have been great. The people I meet pretty cool. The workers friendly. And best of all the place has great AC. Outdoor concerts are not cool to me when it's 100° outside.

What an amazing place to see a band performing. Intimate and close, seeing the Black Pumas there was an amazing experience. I can not wait to see more bands there.

I thought it was strange that HOB doesn’t have much coverage on their restaurant food. I thought it was pretty solid. We were there for a concert and arrived an hour before gates opened to grab dinner. Service was a bit slow, and we got nervous overhearing a server apologizing to another table for slow service. However, when the waiter finally came, he was super nice and got our order taken care of expeditiously without us needing to push him. I ordered the smashburger which easily satisfied my burger craving. Patties were cooked well, and not super flat. Juicy and a bit saucy. I decided to replace the fries with corn bread which was ok. My wife wasn’t that hungry, so she ordered a side of gumbo which was a pretty good portion size. She said she liked it. The drink (forgot the name) was the waiter’s favorite alcoholic drink. We were able to line up for the concert upstairs before the hour ended.

The place is big inside, nice venue, great space for a more intimate experience, nice bar area. The prices are ridiculous- cup of water $6. Otherwise I love this place.

Saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd, dude shreds that guitar. Venue was great, easy in easy out. Staff were all very helpful. Not to be seated though, tough to find seats in the balcony, lack of signage, but manageable. Love this place.

It was not bad. The bartenders are chill and the other workers are cool. The food ain't 5 star restaurant quality but it's something to munch on while u watch a performance

I love attending events here. You can come business casual, jeans, or dress up. It's all appropriate and seems natural and easy. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you and safe and feel pampered. There is a very quirky and luxurious feel to the event venue. The photos I am posting are from the far left balcony seats. There is not any bad seating in the venue.

A great place to stop in for food and live music. We had a table up front, and the volume was perfect. The chicken pasta was good. The Voodoo Shrimp with cornbread was amazing. The drinks were poured strong and for what they're charging they need to be.

Went to see Dogstar - awesome show. HoB is a nice little venue with great acoustics. Whether your on the floor or in the balcony you've got a great place to watch pretty much any kind of show.

I recently had the pleasure of attending the George Clinton and Fishbone concert at The House of Blues, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience that left me in awe from start to finish. I can confidently say that this was hands down one of the best concerts I have ever had the privilege of being a part of. From the moment I entered the venue, the vibrant energy of The House of Blues enveloped me, setting the stage for a night filled with incredible music and pure excitement. The enthusiastic and friendly staff ensured a smooth and hassle-free entry, making me feel welcome and ready to let loose. The House of Blues itself is an amazing venue. It boasts a unique atmosphere that merges intimacy with grandeur, with its dimly lit interiors, fantastic acoustics, and stunning stage setup. This blend creates an electric ambiance that truly elevated the concert experience. Now, let's talk about the music! George Clinton, the legendary funk maestro, took the stage with an explosive energy that was contagious. His larger-than-life persona and his deep passion for his craft were evident in every note he sang and every move he made. The crowd went wild as the funkadelic vibes filled the air, and it was impossible not to dance along to classics like "Atomic Dog" and "Flashlight." Clinton's performance was nothing short of mind-blowing, and it left a lasting impact on everyone present. But the magic didn't end there! Fishbone, the iconic ska and funk punk band, graced the stage and only further intensified the electrifying atmosphere. Their high-energy performance and infectious stage presence had everyone on their feet, singing and skanking along to their beloved hits like "Party at Ground Zero" and "Everyday Sunshine." The level of musicianship displayed by Fishbone was nothing short of awe-inspiring, each member showcasing their raw talent and incredible versatility. The House of Blues staff truly deserve praise for their impeccable management of the event. Despite the large crowd, the sound quality was outstanding, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the music without any distractions. Additionally, the bar service was efficient and the food options were diverse, ensuring everyone's needs were met. All in all, attending the George Clinton and Fishbone concert at The House of Blues was an absolute blast. The combination of exceptional talent, exceptional venue, and an enthusiastic crowd made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you're a fan of funk, soul, or simply live music at its finest, I highly recommend checking out any concert at The House of Blues. You won't be disappointed! Thank you, House of Blues, for hosting a night that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

The atmosphere and decor in the peacock lounge was great the drinks were tiny though and they had no water service only expensive cans of water. Overall the service was great and so was the band.

Wonderful venue!! Saw Corey Taylor and it was the best concert I've seen. A lot of that was the amazing venue.

Great place to watch your favorite artists. Loved the time watching Bury Tomorrow live, such a pleasant experience. Need to explore more about this place, the restaurant, the other bug stage they have, I'll be coming back for sure.

Good times while visiting Houston. We got to see the Psychedelic Furs live in concert. We did the general stand only admission; there was enough room for everyone to move around. Great experience, and outstanding customer service.🤗

As my first time, I'm only gonna get balcony seats. The bottom floor gets way too crowded. It's so worth it to get seats on the top floor. Your own bathroom and concession stand. The only thing that gets annoying is every time when you get onto the elevator to go up. Doesn't matter if the guy remembers you or not. You got to show him your ticket. I mean, I get it. But you've seen me 3 times now, you got to see the ticket again?? Anyways, besides that. The show was f#$king insane!! tore the house down, absolutely killed it!!
