Taiwanese Food in Paradise?
We definitely wanted to make a stop in Oahu’s Chinatown and a weekend breakfast presented the perfect opportunity
Rather than Chinese food like won ton or rice porridge that the SF Bay Area does fairly well, we decided to hit a cuisine not well represented in the Bay: Taiwanese breakfast
Old K C Kitchen serves all the classics including salty and sweet soybean milk, fresh fried Chinese donuts and sticky rice fantuan that all hit the spot
The restaurant couple have also carved out a niche serving smoked duck and smoked chicken that is super popular and which accounts for much of their takeout business (besides the popular Chinese fried donuts that sold out)

A hole in the wall Taiwanese food. Great flavor and good selection. The servings are quiet large, and some food could be more authentic, but overall a very positive experience and would definitely come back again.

We ordered the pan fried dumplings and spicy garlic wontons. Both were delicious! They were making them fresh when we arrived. It's definitely a hole in the wall mom & pop store though.

Omg dumpling so good !! They even sell frozen dumplings. Too bad we don’t live here. Otherwise we would have got some of to go
