Delicious hot (temperature) and Flavorful food
My family and I absolutely adore Bangkok Chef, a remarkable Thai restaurant. We find ourselves constantly drawn to their tantalizing Spring Rolls, flavorful Chicken Fried Rice, irresistible Pad Si You, and comforting soups.
The Spring Rolls at Bangkok Chef are simply divine. Crispy and filled with a delightful combination of fresh vegetables, they make for a perfect start to our meal. And when it comes to the Chicken Fried Rice, we can't get enough. The tender chicken, fragrant jasmine rice, and colorful medley of vegetables create a harmonious blend of flavors that keeps us coming back for more.
One of our absolute favorites is the Pad Si You. The wide rice noodles, perfectly stir-fried with beef and crisp vegetables, result in a dish that is both comforting and deeply satisfying. And let's not forget about their soups, Bangkok Chef's soups never fail to impress with their rich flavors and fresh ingredients.
Aside from the incredible food, the ambiance and service at Bangkok Chef are top-notch. The warm and welcoming atmosphere combined with the attentive staff create a memorable dining experience for our family. If you're in the mood for exceptional Thai cuisine that will leave you craving more, Bangkok Chef is the place to be.
Bangkok Chef provides a great casual dining experience with a nice selection of menu items. I generally prefer this Manoa location due to the availability of parking. Most of the menu items here are served pretty quickly. Also, for the price point, the flavors are terrific. As long as the quality of the food remains the same, and the prices remain affordable, this place gets five stars.
6/1/2018 update: Tried the Thai Style pho as well as the Summer Rolls. I was impressed with both dishes. The Thai style pho had a generous amount of meat, onions, fried garlic and other things in there. I also like the thicker noodles. The summer rolls were also tasty and had thinner noodles in them as well as no sprouts.
Bangkok chef is a quick, affordable and delicious Thai food place near the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. The staff here are friendly and welcoming. The food is filled with fresh flavors of basil, ginger, lime leaves etc. My only complaint is that the amount of protein is less compared to the rice provided.
Overall good. Usually very consistent, tasty food. However, my most recent order included pad thai, and the dish was much wetter than usual and the noodles were a bit soggy. And there was no tofu in it. Not sure if this is an anomaly or if the recipe changed.
Nestled in the beautiful Manoa Valley, this Bangkok Chef is my favorite by far. You will always feel welcomed and cheered when you walk in the door and are greeted by Ms. Vasana, and whether you are inhaling yellow curry, add broccoli, and fresh summer rolls with sweet peanut sauce or Tom Yum, lemon ginger soup, or Tom Kha coconut ginger soup, both piping hot, healing and delicious, you will feel as if you've invested in your health and that it was worth it.
My father, who grew up in this lovely valley, always used to say, "Eat your wealth to increase your health. You can't take anything with you anyway. " And he's not wrong when it comes to this yummy gem of a restaurant. Eat here. Your body and mind will thank you. 😊
Yes, it's cheap, fast, and very decent Thai food. More than decent. Often very very good. But sometimes not so much. Depends on who's cooking I guess. But always a nice treat and you don't feel broke after. The spring rolls are amazing and never disappoint. Be ware of the other locations though, I tried once and it was no bueno.
Reasonably priced locally owned mom and pop feel.
Good but not outstanding thai food, but again, cheaper than most, so 4 stars over all for value.
Possibly the best spring rolls I've ever had. The fried rice was also excellent. They were able to accommodate our large group of adults and children. It wasn't too busy and the staff was friendly and responsive. I knocked off a star because the Pad Thai was just mediocre and multiple people in our party that ordered the summer roll really didn't like it due to the mint. So just find and stick to the menu items that you like....like the insanely delicious spring rolls.
Great place for some great Thai cuisine.
Their spicy dishes are to die for. But you can have it mild too. Clean seating area & parking in front.
