I recommend starting with the Rangoon Tea Leaf Salad or the Mango Salad. I really enjoyed eating the variety of ingredients used to prepare the salad mix, it was delicious and filling. For the main dishes, I recommend ordering the Burmese Pumpkin Stew with you choice of protein and Pork Belly with Green Mustard. Both dishes were we delicious, but high recommend the Burmese Pumpkin Stew with it warm curry spices and pumpkin flavor.

The answer is a resounding YES. In love and can't wait to come back. UPDATE: I came back, and actually took photos this time. This is my favorite food/restaurant on island, hands down, and there's a lot of good places to eat. Rangoon provides the most incredible comfort food to feed the soul. The flavors, textures and aromas are engulfing. My little sister does not like curry or any spice outside of salt and pepper and she loved EVERYTHING (including the coconut curry). Staff is so sweet, I will be back often. You certainly have gained a regular. Thank you so much for introducing such wonderful Myanmar cuisine to me! ♥️

Travelling from Australia where we live in amongst a very vibrant Asian foodie scene, this place was an absolute treat. The pricing and portions are excellent for Hawai'i tourists. "Eat where the locals eat". This place hits the money in terms of food and service quality. We got the fish curry with mahi mahi, gorgeous tomato flavours. We often eat rice noodle soups back home, so the Myanmar national dish of Mohinga was incredible, I'd highly recommend Mohinga, rice noodle soup is very homely and a classic household dish and this one smashes expectations! We also got pork belly with green mustard, this is one of my guilty delight foods and I loved the sweet onion included in the fry. Please note: if you're coming from the Australian Asian foodie scene, don't ask for steamed/boiled rice, they had no idea what I was talking about! Rices are listed on the menu, just something to note. The ambience is great, in my opinion one of the best ambience we've experienced since being in Hawaii. The service is great, as you'd expect in the USA which is consistently far better service wise than Australian establishments. Well done folks. 5/5 from 2 Asian cuisine foodies!

Wow, what a find. Stumbled here because the Thai restaurant we were going to was closed, and you don't find too many Burmese restaurants, so we decided to try it. Having been to Myanmar, I think this is an Americanized version that's heavy on the sauces and herbs, but it was all cooked to perfection with a ton of flavor. Highly recommend the manadalay pork curry and coconut rice, its super coconutty. Seems understaffed because it was hard getting the server's attention with them consistently busy, but the food came out extremely quick, and they kept the water filled. Would definitely recommend!

Tried this new Burmese restaurant in Honolulu, Chinatown district. The tea leaf salad was okay. The Oh No Khao Swe (Coconut chicken soup) needed more coconut creme. Didn't have the rich flavor I am used to. Presentation was unique and a good touch as you could put as little or asuch as you wanted. The beef curry (Burmese style) was the best I have eaten outside of home cooking.

Opted for take out and even then, the food was great! I had never tried Burmese food before so it was a new experience. I ordered the mango salad, lemongrass prawns (appetizer), the pork belly, and the fisherman’s stew (not pictured). Food had a strong flavor which could be intimidating for those who are not used to it, but I do recommend giving it a shot. Mango salad was my personal favorite, as everything else was just a tad on the saltier side--it was the perfect blend of savory and sweet with great texture from the cashews(?). The prawns were very tender and flavorful. The seafood in the fisherman's stew also tasted fresh. The pork belly itself was very soft, but as you can tell from the dark sauce color, the sauce itself was strong and salty. I do prefer more milder flavor, so take my review with a grain of salt (no pun intended).

This was a life changing experience. They sat us last minute, service was impeccable, server was fine and silly, and the food was stupendous. We tried so many different things on the menu and everything hit extremely different. He pulled out a digital camera with flash to take our family picture! Come here and eat and have fun I genuinely haven’t had a better experience at a restaurant.

Absolutely incredible restaurant with incredible food. The atmosphere creates a positive mood, the wait staff are kind, knowledgeable, and prompt, and the food blew me away. It was such an amazing mix of flavors, I don't have the culinary knowledge to describe it. It's a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Great little spot. The cocktail (G-force with tequila) was light and refreshing, the chicken curry appetizer was deep (awesome flavor), and the Rangoon tea leaf salad (with cabbage) was crispy and crunchy. Everything I was looking for and so happy that I stumbled on this place. The music was a little loud when I visited so pick a seat away from the speakers if you are with a party and want to talk. I was alone so it didn’t bother me but the couple next to me made a comment. Still 5 star for me.

Tea leaf salad and flavors were amazing. Great ambiance. Only nitpick, the lamb was dry in the pumpkin stew and the beef was just ok. I'd recommend going with chicken or pork instead.
