Amazing , no words can describe that place . We went 2 days ago for our first time ever. Went back tonight just for half dozen to keep us happy until tomorrow ! We just had an amazing dinner but nevertheless, we HAD to stop here . We will go back get shirts and plush toy for sure before we fly back home next week . This is truly our little gem found on this trip to Oahu . Took us 8th time in 6 years but be reassure we will never come to Oahu without visiting Leonard’s bakery every again ! We will spread the words also as in our honest opinion , we just can not, not like it . We had the originals, the cinamons, the Lee something ( salty and salty ) , their big loaf of bread is just wow ! We made the best sandwich for the beach the next day with it .. just wow . Moist , sweet but not too much , just perfect . We also tried all their stuffing options , costard , chocolate and Lilikoi was our personal favourite . Congrats to an amazing team , you keep the line moving pretty fast . Future customers don’t get disoucrsge by the line outside , we were waiting outside and in about 10 minutes we had our first order . Mahalo , the Barbeau family from Canada .

Hands-down the best malasadas in town. They come in various flavors and optional filling... but the best has got to be the original unfilled. The donut comes warmed and the dough is so moist and fluffy. Tip: when you order, take a bite right away! Texture isn't as phenomenal when at room temperature. (but still great!) The guava muffin I got was so-so. Would not get it next time.

I'm in love with this place! We went right at open on a Monday and there was no line. Definitely get a classic donut but I also love the guava donut! Many unique flavors with an older diner feel.

I just beat the rush but there was maybe 10 customers in front of me. The wait was minimal. The food was great. They do a really good job at keeping those lines moving. Excellent service. If you're looking for a large selection, probably not here. Decent size selection; but what they do they do well. Would definitely recommend

So the first few days you are in Waikiki you have that jet lag and wake up at 5am. Instead of trying to go back to sleep, put on those walking shoes and head to Leonard's Bakery. You will not be disappointed. Those are some killer pastries. I could have done without the Portuguese sausage, but the pastries were worth the walk. One or 2 are enough to fill you up, but I got a half dozen to try all the different flavors. Nearly sent me into sugar shock. They are much better warm than cold also. Eat em while the are fresh. 2 thumbs up for Leonard's.

One of the things to do when in Hawaii is to eat the famous malasadas of Leonard’s Bakery. The donuts are soft, chewy and taste really good. Expect a line and quite some time for the order but definitely worth it!

The malasadas are tasty and affordable! My favorite was the macadamia cream malasada and my wife liked the guava cream one. The line can get pretty long, but once you order they do come out relatively quickly. There’s not much shade to wait in so be prepared.

Yes the queue can be long but it’s definitely worth the wait and it moves quickly. I started with plain sugared (my fave) and hubby went for a custard cinnamon. SO good piping hot and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! They taste like bangin’ mini chewy donuts to me but bigger, round and crispier on the outside. We liked them so much we went right back to get six custard malasadas. I liked the plain custard best but I’m a purist so it’s just way too much filling for me. Hubby on the other hand happily blew off his diet for these! Just a tip: they’re much better piping hot.

For the best maladadas around, come here. We got there at 6 am and the parking lot was full, it was so busy. 6 months ago they didn't have all the flavors because of supply chain issues, but as of March 2022, all the flavors are back! We got the original, cinnamon, guava, coconut, macadamia, and custard. Must show photo ID if you use a credit card. Highly recommend!
