La Mer is top-notch! Service, settings, seating, food, and beverages were outstanding. A huge thank you to our server Taylor and everyone else for such a warm welcome and for making our first time at La Mer such an amazing experience. We couldn't have picked a better restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We can't wait to go back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s an absolute pleasure to have had the opportunity to dine at this prestigious fine dining restaurant on Oahu, Hawaii. La Mer is located at the popular 5star Halekulani Hotel in Honolulu. This restaurant is gorgeous. Love the decor and the ambience. Classy and sophisticated. We were very fortunate to have been seated at the table with the stunning ocean view right in front of us. We had an exclusive culinary experience with the elegant 7 course French degustation menu. Food was amazing. Customer service was impeccable. Everything is top notch! The whole experience was a mind blowing. I would give it a 7 star if I could!

We both had the seasonal 4 course menu, but I swapped 2 of the dish from their signature 7 course, which you can, with a small fee. So I got scallop and beef instead of poached oyster and lamb and oh my I am so glad I did, because those 2 dishes were my favorites. My husband was really happy with his lamb until he tried my beef 😆 Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was top notch. During our second course, a table next to the balcony became available and we were offered to move to the table. It was really nice since we were able to enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and live music from the down stairs. I would like to thank every staff al La Mer who made our anniversary night so special.

Our must-visit restaurant every time we travel to Hawaii. It consistently delivers fresh and delectable cuisine, accompanied by impeccable service. The dining experience at La Mer is enhanced by a wonderful ambiance, creating a truly memorable atmosphere. What makes it even more convenient is its location within our favorite hotel.

I’ve wanted to come here for years and I had high expectations that were exceeded on every level. The food was so good that my girlfriend and I forgot to take a picture of every course because we were so excited to eat it! Best of all was the service, every member of the team took care of us with grace and precision. The restaurant overlooks the ocean and when another table got up that had the best view we were asked if we would like to move there for our final course, much to our delight. By far the best meal I’ve ever had

The food and service at La Mer was nothing short of amazing. Each course had a level of depth and flavor unmatched anywhere else on Oahu. They accommodated my gluten free diet as well as my fiancée’s vegan diet and still made everything perfect. Thank you to the staff and manager who served and greeted us, Steve, Atila, Scott, and Nick.

This is the first Michelin star restaurant that I have eaten at and didn't get full. The food was fabulous, and the service was even better. Great views. The portions are extremely small. Like sample size portions. I would recommend eating before you go. Otherwise, the only way you are going to get full is through the bread and desserts they pump out to you. In the midst of a Hawaiian paradise sits La Mer, an upscale French dining destination with amazing views of Waikiki Beach. This fine dining locale delivers an immersive culinary experience that beautifully merges the brilliance of French cuisine with an enchanting Hawaiian backdrop. Starting with an array of breads served with sweet butter and tomato butter, we were set on an exciting gastronomic path. The foie gras, delicately wine-infused and paired with coconut mousse and pineapple chutney, was a delightfully sweet and creamy affair. The roasted scallop bathed in lobster consommé was a masterstroke, with the seafood flavors accentuated by the subtle umami of caviar. On the other hand, the steak, paired with a unique potato soufflé, slightly missed the mark with its overcooking. The foie gras also added a tad excess of grease to the otherwise satisfactory combination. The cheese cart offered an old-school charm, with a fine selection of cheeses alongside dried apricots and figs, making for a pleasant segue into desserts. The Apple Brandy Mousse made a delightful pre-dessert with its cold, brandy-infused sweetness. However, the pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the Mousse Glacé au Miel et Crème Fraîche, an irresistible blend of honey ice cream and cream. Light and subtly sweet, it was a delightful finale to our meal. Service, as anticipated from a French fine dining restaurant, was impeccably professional and courteous. As a lovely gesture, we were presented with a selection of sweet treats to take home. La Mer is a stellar choice for celebrating special occasions, and I highly recommend arriving early to take full advantage of the beautiful sunset from the balcony. Each dish was a work of art, thoughtfully composed and beautifully presented, reflecting the epitome of contemporary French cuisine.
