Long wait for dinner on the patio but the view of Waikiki Bay and Diamond Head were worth it. Food was good and the servers were on point
Great view, drinks, food, prices and best of all service. Thanks to the staff for being quick and courteous. We will be back before leaving Hawaii.
There was a bit of a wait when we went on a Tuesday night but that was expected due to the popularity of this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic and the service from our waiter was outstanding. I ordered the prime rib and the lobster in cream sauce, my wife ordered baked “Duke’s” fish. The prime rib was excellent and my wife seemed to have loved her dish. She didn’t leave any for me to try. Not even a scrap. She must have been hungry. This definitely was a great experience with fantastic service from our server. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Waikiki!
The atmosphere and the location are spot on. You are right on the beach with great views and an awesome spot to check out the sunset. The drinks were very good and had plenty of alcohol.
The kids chicken strips were very funky, the flavor was off and the kids and adults both agreed that they were odd. Do not order them if your kids are expecting standard chicken strips.
The steak was average, the price was not. The chicken teriyaki however was good and I would order that again if we come back.
The drinks and ambiance are superb. Their appetizers were fantastic. The poke wonton tacos were among the best we had ever had! It was absolutely delicious. The drinks were very well made as well. The entree was good however fell a bit short when compared to the stellar appetizers in my opinion. The ribs weren’t as tender as I imagine or would have liked them to be. Bear in mind, the entrees are still very very good and would likely be a slam dunk 5-star product were it not being compared to the appetizers. Finally, the live entertainment was really good as well. Overall, a highly recommended place.
I am not a chicken wing fan. These were the exception. I got them to share with my man, and wound up eating most of them. These blew me out of the water.
Perfectly crispy without being overly fried. Well sauced, not dry but not drowning.
Chicken was juicy and super fresh and the actual wings were a GOOD size. Wow.
Also got French fries and they were also crispy, well fried but very fresh and soft
Dukes is packed so you can't expect the service to be devoted to you but the staff do a great job of trying to be efficient and manage everyone.
Lava flow was a must and it did not disappoint!
The atmosphere is stellar, you'll likely meet and talk to new people. Great views!
This place was absolutely amazing! If you're looking for a fun place for dinner, this is definitely the spot! We sat at the bar, and David was our bartender. Best one yet! (I might be biased bc he's Filipino) They have great fish n chips, great drinks, and live music! It's not the place to go if you're looking for peace and quiet, though.
Gray place to come if you are able to sit at the bar. The tables in the bar are not high enough to be able to see the ocean. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive! The menu is pretty small. We chose to go to Monkeypod only because they had more menu options for our group.
We were curious about this place as there were so many good reviews and Duke's Waikiki did not disappoint. They are very popular so we had reservations but the restaurant is so big that they did also have some walk-in availbility. If you do have to wait a while there are lots of shops nearby.
The food tasted great, what really stood out for us was their signature pie. You really do need to end your meal off with this dessert if you check out this place because it is so good. It's not too sweet, which is how we like most of our desserts.
We really appreciated our waitress, she was really so kind and patient. But even the rest of the staff, from the girl that showed us to our seats, and the people that delivered our food, were all very friendly.
Go early or you have to wait to get a table. We waited for 45 minutes. While waiting we went into Duke"s surf shop to have a look. Our server was very attentive and took the trouble to explain the menu and also recommended some good choice. The front entrance was decorated with Halloween displays. Once inside, the walls are lined with photos of Duke himself or in the company of others. Highly recommended the lobster set. The humus we ordered was just extraordinary.
The calamari was large and deep fried to perfection, the Chicken Bacon BLT was a picture perfect and taste pallet perfect sandwich, and the mojito was very good, but I like them sweeter. The wait staff were fast and courteous, as well as the bartenders. It was fun watching the bartenders, they were very talented tossing, shaking and almost juggling their mixing containers with their large list of continuous orders of food and drinks. It is a very friendly, cozy almost crowded atmosphere and a good place to get closer to the ones you are with. I will be frequenting Dukes when I am in the area.
This place is popular. We did not book in advance. We walked in at 8pm and Need to wait like 40 minutes.
They have bar and dining section. 2 different menu. We opted for dining menu.
Food taste is good. Portion wise is big. Overall good experience
