Very eclectic atmosphere, superb service, and amazing food & drinks. I enjoyed the Benedict Arnold and a Cosmic Berry Cosmo. Their cheddar grits are fantastic, as well. Can’t wait to go back for lunch or dinner. I definitely recommend this place. My only “complaint” would be that the jazz band was a little loud, but the music was amazing.
Had my first Old Goat meal yesterday and it was super delicious! My only complaint was my stomach wasn't big enough to try more food! Fun ambiance, nice staff and great food. We will be back!
Some of the best service I've received in a long time! Michael guided us through the menu, helped make selections & offered suggestions on wine pairings. He was everything an excellent server should be. Food was delicious & live music was even better! Keep up the good work!

The Old Goat is off the beaten path (meaning not downtown 😉), yet very easily accessible and quaint. They have plenty of offstreet parking behind the building. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. I loved the Live Entertainment, which consisted of musicians playing an upright bass, piano and electric guitar. I enjoyed a very flavorful delicious meal consisting of their 10 oz. grilled sirloin (cooked medium rare), charred asparagus, smashed yukons, roasted mushroom and balsamic caramelized onion with thyme bordelaise. The steak was cooked to juicy and tender perfection. The yukons were both crispy and fluffy in texture. The vegetables get my chef's kiss. I also enjoyed the shared appetizers (oops...not pictured) of the Deviled Eggs (the flavor of the week was Caprese) and Pretzel Panther.
I was disappointed just because I had high expectations for this place after reading other reviews.
We got the deviled eggs with three eggs for $10 the cauliflower appetizer and brussel sprouts appetizer. They were ok but nothing special.
I got the rueben after seeing it raved about on someone else's review. It was probably the worst Ruben I've ever sadly.
There was hardly any meat on it (but it was bunched up to look nice for presentation. it was essentially a bread sandwich and was incredibly salty. And also it was $19 with a handful of chips.
The atmosphere was amazing however cool music and vibe and great decor.
I came to Michigan for the first time ever. My friend highly recommended this restaurant to me, and i am an ohio resident. I came to this restaurant and to my surprise the establishment is wonderful. It has beautiful music and wonderful good food. The service here is very professional and peaceful. I had a wonderful gentleman. His name was JT. He serviced me and my friend, and he recommended the feature. we tried out the feature, and it was Devine. I give this place a perfect five stars and will definitely return back here to eat again. The experience was wonderful 😁🙂😊 the service was really fast and the food was very delicious the menu was really cool also and wasn't too hard to choose from.
The atmosphere is so laid back. It is a great place to unwind. The staff were very friendly. The food is amazing!
Fantastic!! Possibly the best Rueben Sandwich I've ever had... and I am a bit of a Rueben aficionado. Cool atmosphere and great service.
Nice little place with cool and quirky decor!
Good menu selection including a good beer menu. ADA friendly! Pepperoni pizza was really good, definitely enough to fill you up! The soup salad and sandwich combo option is really nice for the picky eater.
Service was fast and prompt, food was amazing. When we were walking in and seen how they were cooking the pizzas we knew it was going to be next level and that it was. Some of the best pizza we have ever had.
Edit: we went back for the bluegrass live band and BBQ food. The brisket was moist and actually pretty good. The garlic Mac and cheese is the side to get when you go. The apple fennel slaw is not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Now the lemon lavender crème brûlée was amazing
Good place, great beer (it’s Grand Rapids). The pizza is good and sandwiches are amazing.
The Jambalaya was interesting, not bad but definitely not a jambalaya, a menu name change would make the dish amazing…if it that makes any sense :)
Chefs kiss to Old Goat - it’s so good! Old goat offers traditional comfort food with unique twists. The atmosphere is so inviting, cozy, and eclectic. Our service was also great. Usually they have a live piano player which really adds to the vibes. Pictured the bubbly brown cheese app, sweet treat salad and charley apple chicken sandwich - all fantastic.
Update: I went back and it was still great except for the salad. Everyone got the sweet treat salads since they were so good last time, but unfortunately they didn’t come with any candied cashews and the topics were slim pickings. Not sure id try to get that again. Otherwise everything was great.
