I mostly stay at Marriott properties. This is by far one of my favorite hotels. Beautiful hotel with rooms to match. I really loved the high ceilings with windows to match. Very clean hotel. The decor was great and fit so well with the building. The rooftop bar was under renovation, so I was not able to experience that area. The AC unit worked great, but the weather was cool, so I'm not 100% sure if it was the AC or the weather. By far, some of the best staff I have the pleasure to interact with. The valet was quick and friendly. Very helpful, too. As soon as we walked in, the front desk was meeting us at the bottom of the stairs and helping us with our bags. They quickly checked us in, gave us some helpful insight into the area, and wanted to help us to our room. This sort of service continued during our short stay, which added to our experience. I highly recommend this hotel solely based on the staff. The hotel itself is an added bonus.

This was a great experience. Perfect and beautiful location. Parking was super easy and there were some either near the hotel or in front of it. The beach is close by. Staff was very helpful and professional. The room was very luxurious and bathroom beautifully decorated. Couple of bars and restaurants close by within walking distance. Definitely an excellent experience and will consider to stay again!

We stayed here for a pre-cruise hotel night and it was amazing! The rooms are so historic and beautiful and we had a great view of the atrium! The convenience to get to the cruise port was excellent and we were able to walk over with our luggage in the morning. This was a very high class establishment and we really enjoyed it!

As a business owner we stay all over the country. We absolutely love this hotel and staff. The rooms were very well kept and very nice. For the hotel being booked it was very quiet. If there was one thing that could be improved, would be the dinner menu. We had the Rib-eye. It came cooked to our liking but was cut into strips similar to a flank steak? It was raining hard so we did not venture from the hotel to seek out other dining establishments. All in all wonderful place and highly recommend when staying in Galveston. THANK YOU.

The Tremont House is amazing! The rooms are historic, clean and spacious! The service is outstanding! The location was great! If you want to spend time on the Strand it's very convenient. If you want to spend time on the seawall grab a trolley! It's classic and historic and we had a marvelous stay at the Tremont after getting off a cruise. Highly recommended!

This beautiful historic hotel has retained its magic and grace through a change in ownership and a complete remodel! I have been staying here frequently since 2006 with a break due to the pandemic. I just returned for my first visit since the remodel. I was apprehensive as I loved this hotel so much in the past and was wary of all the changes. I shouldn’t have worried! The Tremont House is still magical, and the new mirrors in the rooms are so beautiful. As someone who loves Galveston and its history I was happy to see the hotel look beautiful while paying homage to the 1920s. Special thanks to Natalie at the front desk. She assisted me with booking, gave me special recommendations, and went the extra mile to make us feel at home. She is very knowledgeable about Island history and loves the hotel! When people love their work place as much as Natalie loves the Tremont House it really makes the world more beautiful! Favorite things: the history, the mirrors, the cocktails (and Garrett at the bar was a delight too), the tall ceilings, the color of the walls and draperies, the location (if you know, you know), the shower (there’s a textured surface under your feet that is such a nice touch). What I would improve: Please add oatmeal to the breakfast menu. Eggs Benny were delicious but when staying in nice hotels I always want oatmeal too. I’m sure I’m not the only one!

This beautiful, well-maintained historic hotel was the perfect send-off to our cruise. The lounge was a step back in time and the drinks were delicious! Best chocolate martini’s around, was the advice from the two local ladies. We ordered 2 and agree, very tasty! We had Ernesto open our door, assisted with luggage and delivered to our suite while we lounged around the bar. Brooklyn greeted us at the counter and made sure to call us as soon as our room was ready, always with a smile! We are checking out today, but I am sure everything will go smoothly. You definitely feel like someone special here at The Tremont House. Thank you all, like I said, just a perfect little send off before our vacation. Much appreciated!

This was our first time in Galveston and we loved staying at The Tremont House! Right when we pulled up, Ernesto helped us with our belongings and waited for us to check in to take our things to our room. Once in our room, we appreciated his kindness and gentleness with handling our belongs. He also helped us at check out and was the same when we left! We ran into an issue when checking in (system went down) but the gentleman at the front (tall and wears glasses) was very kind and gave us complimentary drink vouchers as we waited for the system to operate again. The bar area was so pretty and the service was amazing! The service at the cafe was amazing as well. Thats where we had breakfast during our stay. Whenever we had questions Amy, Eddie, and Ceaca were all so kind to help us with answers. We appreciated their hospitality and made us feel like we were at home. The hotel itself is so beautiful. The rooms are very clean and there’s an aroma of a luxurious scent wherever you walk in the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here for your next stay!

I stayed at The Tremont House as part of a wedding and it was a great experience from the moment I arrived and my valet Ruthie set a high bar by being so helpful and kind. I would love to visit Galveston again some weekend during a warmer time of year & stay at The Tremont House. A+

First time in Galveston. This is a review of the hotel not the area. But, next time we will stay in another part of the island and give that a try. The hotel is now a part of Marriott. The hotel is beautiful. They did a great job of keeping the historical while making it modern. Staff opens the front doors for you, I have never had that experience outside of NYC. All the staff were super nice. The cafe is a typical Marriott, no reason to come here unless you are staying at the hotel. They have no parking lot so if you have a car the valet is your only choice and is expensive. Not close to the beach and summer is hot so no walking for us. Would recommend if you need to be in this part of town. We enjoyed our stay.
