My wife and I made reservations for dare night. We parked across the street in a small parking lot. The resteraunt was beautiful and cozy; we were greeted with many smiles. Our waitress's name was Anna and she was superb at her job. The plantane chips and salsa were divine, the complimentary bread was hot as well as delicious. 😋The waitstaff was attentatvie and top-notch. We had the BT CAMARONES A LA MARSALA
FOUR JUMBO SHRIMP IN A MARSALA DIJON CREAM SAUCE was to die for and the CEVICHE CORINTO
MARINATED GULF RED SNAPPER FILET (PIECES) IN LIME JUICE AND CHEF’S SPICES for appetizers. ATUN A LA PARRILLA
GRILLED AHI TUNA SERVED OVER JALAPEÑO CREAM SAUCE seared to perfection and thebwkfe had KT DELICIAS DE MAR
COMBINATION OF AVOCADO TOPPED WITH JUMBO LUMP CRAB MEAT WITH REMOULADE SAUCE, AND BEEFSTEAK TOMATO TOPPED WITH COLD SHRIMP WITH RASPBERRY CHIPOTLE SAUCE, ACCOMPANIED BY GULF RED SNAPPER CEVICHE. I give 5 out if five mustaches for the service and the ambiance. We definitely will be back! I highly recommend. As for the price, expensive but worth every penny.
The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, warm bread and juicy chicken. The service was fantastic, even sitting at the bar. I liked the quaint armosphere of the place, and, even though it was crowded, it still felt comfortable. A good higher-end establishment crowd.
Impeccable service and delicious food!!
Our party of 8 came in for lunch. We were seated promptly and drinks served. The waiter was knowledge and made recommendations.
The fried plantain chips came out with two sauces. Yummy!
I didn’t get pics of every dish but what really impressed me was the level of service - truly white glove synchronized service. With a large party that is extra impressive! We will most definitely return soon!
Well got the bread pudding to go. Shocked at the small serving for $14 bucks! Had the consistency of marshmallow and it was cold. Took a pic but can't seem to upload so it was maybe 1.5 x 1.5 inches, in other words puny!
This was absolutely an experience. The service can not be beat and although we went for lunch something as simple as tacos were the best I have ever had. They give you fried plantains with two salsas when you sit down. I don't like plantains but these were thin and fried to perfection. If your ever in Galveston plan you trip around this gem and reserve a table, because it's hard to get a reservation .
From the fantastic food to the impeccable service, everything is absolutely top notch!!!
Most people don’t understand or notice the concept of every guest at the table being served at the exact same time. That’s great training and great service!
It’s always hard to decide what to get, simply because everything is always fresh and cooked to perfection!
Favorites are the calamari appetizer with the scallops as the main dish. When I can eat a few more bites, the bread pudding is sooo good!!
I’ve been here hundreds of times. I’m a wine locker member. I’ve never left a review. I think too often people make a point of leaving reviews when they have a bad experience. When they have a good one the review is often. The food is second to none, the service is exquisite, and the owner Paco brings back the old fashioned way of service. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do Paco will come around and introduce himself and ask about your experience. This itself is a lost art form in the restaurant industry. I’ve been around the world. But the best restaurant I’ve ever been to is Rudy and Pacos in Galveston. When you come here prepare yourself for exceptional cuisine and a warm greeting from Paco saying “welcome home.”
The crab cake was full of crab and delicious. It was an amazingly relaxing and romantic evening.
Had an early valentines dinner and food was great! Andy S our server was good & helped make our experience a 5/5. Hibiscus martini, empanadas, and scallops are a MUST. Lamb and Caesar salad were good too
Came to Rudy & Paco for our 30th anniversary as we wanted a special, romantic meal. This place was amazing! The central/south American flavors run through the menu and the wine selection is vast. Every sauce we had - whether it came with the plantain chips served upon seating, or the sauce served with the empanadas, or the fresh made ranch dressing, or the raspberry chipotle sauce served with the snapper - were ALL incomparable. Owner Paco Vargas was there to ensure his customers were all very happy, and the serving staff made a very positive impression. Having each dish placed synchronously at the table was something you only see at the finest establishments. Very impressive! They provided the perfect amount of service while allowing time for enjoying your private dining moments. We ended the evening very full but still ordered dessert, because when you are someplace with food this excellent you want to see if the quality extends into a sweet conclusion. Ordered the Quattro Leche...the dulce le leche was just like homemade. If you have any memories of how your grandmother made dulce le leche from scratch, this will send you back to those days.😋 Simply amazing. We will return anytime we are in Galveston! Thank you for making our anniversary so special and memorable. ♥️
