Best service and food for your money. Kudos to Sherry for running such customer friendly restaurant. Where the tourists are made to feel like the rest of us locals.

Casual family breakfast place. We enjoyed it so much, we visited two days in a row with a large family group. Faith was our server, she’s great & she remembered the kids’ orders from the first visit
Great atmosphere, we were seated by the window and had a very nice view of the seawall. Great place for family brunch! Lots of options on the menu. Gumbo and everything we tried on the menu came out good. Liz, our waitress was so attentive and helpful. We appreciate the service and enjoyed our visit from Houston!! Highly recommend:)
One of our favorite places to eat in Galveston. We've been eating here for years, the food is always consistent with good portion sizes. Service is always friendly and consistent as well. If you have children, they do have a Kid's Menu.
The parking is very limited so be prepared to park on the Seawall and do a little walking if you visit during peak hours. Other than that, if you're in Galveston this spot is definitely a must eat candidate!
I had the shrimp & grits - very tasty. My wife had pot roast and it was tender and flavorful. The green beans were really good but the mash potatoes not so much. Great service. I had to park a block away. I’d eat here again.
Cathy was my server this evening and she was so personable and great to talk to taking time to explain the menu and make recommendations. As per her suggestion I started with a cup of their gumbo and it was delicious. Lots of pieces of shrimp and fish and thick with lots of rice, the flavours were good. Next I had a Build Your Own dinner with fried oysters, grilled shrimp and green beans. I found it kind of odd you could only have one side with your meal so I added a side of their crab dressing. My meal was good, the green beans were fantastic but I do not recommend the crab dressing especially for an extra $4.59. It was lackluster, bland and could not taste any crab. The cabernet wine was decent and well priced per glass.
Wow! Everything was on point. Food was exceptional, from the fried calamari, to grilled fish and chowder.
The calamari were so perfectly fried, and super crispy. Amazing with the sauce they give you.
The underdog of the meal was the crab and corn chowder - simply amazing. It tasted like home although I never had anything like this.
Absolutely amazing! And everything is so affordable! What a gem in a town like Galveston, where there is very limited amount of things to do.
Very good food and service. Visited here on a Sunday around 4 and had the hush puppies, crab Benedict, fried calamari rings, and seawall special. For the Seawall Special I picked the blackened basa fish and fried shrimp with my side of crab dressing (what they put in the crab cakes). Everything tasted good and fresh and service was prompt and welcoming.
Not a hotel - it’s a restaurant….. I’m not sure why Google says room for a restaurant but the food was 5-star. My husband and I both had the chicken fried steak sandwich. His was on ciabatta bread while mine was on Texas toast. It was amazing - he ate 1/2 of his and I ate less than 1/2 - they’re huge! The crust was perfect - not too much - the steak was so much larger than the bread - but still thick! The meat wasn’t tough either, which sometimes we,ve had issues with that.
We also had the lump crab dip. Lots of fresh crab, but I’m not sure what the dip was it seamed to be thickened sauce maybe - it was good with choloula sauce which did improve that part of the dip.
Our server was wonderful and we’ll definitely go back!
We had a pretty good experience. I ordered the crab cakes. I would stay away from this if you are used to the good stuff on the north east coast. Lots of fried stuff to choose from. Waiter was super busy.
I love this place..the service is always top notch…from the greeters to the waiters..they are so sweet! The food..we have the gumbo every time which just like homemade..I always get the French toast. You do not need any syrup with the French toast at all..they are so good.. Cheese grits are so creamy, biscuits like homemade. If you’re ever in Galveston, pls stop by….oh and while you’re waiting on a table, check out the upstairs bar with the beach view. You won’t be disappointed!!!!!
A friend recommended we eat at Millers in Galveston and we were so impressed with everything, the quaint comfortable atmosphere, really nice wait staff and absolutely fabulous food! The crab dip was incredible! We had the grilled fish, green beans and crab dressing, and all was perfectly cooked! They have won a lot of awards for their food and they deserve it!
