My staff and I celebrating a milestone came to the restaurant and ordered off the "restaurant week special" menu. Perfect service, lovely room and view, the food was beautifully presented. A true treat to have such a wonderful meal with my co-workers. Thank you
One of the best dinners in Galveston. The food and service are outstanding. The bar is great with a wonderful view of the bay.
I think what made our experience a pleasant dinner was our waiter, Oscar. He was on top and made sure we were taken cared of. The food and presentation were excellent. The setting and the atmosphere was awesome. We took toddlers with us (grandkids) and they were treated just as nice. I will come back for sure . It’s an upscale restaurant. Dress appropriately- Thanks for everything. Until next time
Loved it! Wonderful presentation and amazing service. The food was VERY good and the lobster bisque was the best I have ever had. The shrimp, unfortunately, was overcooked.
This month’s special—lamb and scallops—was fantastic. A bit pricey but you do know the price going in, and I got two meals from it. It would make an easy split meal for two, especially if you have an appetizer. Service was excellent as always.
I can’t recommend the September specials enough! The grouper was cooked perfectly, and the mix of flavors is delightful. We also enjoyed the cream of kale soup. Thank goodness I saved room for the apple pie bread pudding as well. The culinary team is brilliant!
From the moment we exited the elevator we knew that we were going to enjoy our night. The staff was attentive. Our meals were delicious. The cake was average but the whipped cream and fruit were fresh. A decadent evening for sure.
Shearn’s has been and will continue to be one of our very favorite ‘fine-dining’ restaurants anywhere we have ever been. We stayed at the Hotel Saturday night & made advance reservations for dinner that evening. We started out with cocktails in the Lounge & Logan was wonderful. At dinner we were seated by the window - greet table & Damien was our server. We could not have been more pleased - great service & recommendations! I had the Escargot & my husband had their French Onion Soup for starters. He then had their Blue Cheese Wedge salad & I had to get their Caesar Salad (always the best). For our entrees - he ordered the 16-oz NY Strip & as always I had their Petit Filet with their amazing Peppercorn sauce. Over the years we have learned you must order your Soufflé beforehand, as it takes 45-minutes to prepare...we each had the Soufflé Grand Marnier...spectacular! We also enjoyed a glass of their Port Wine with our dessert. We wish there were comparable restaurants in Houston, but not any longer...so we will continue to come down for a treat whenever the urge hits. Thank you for a beautiful & tasty evening!
- UPDATE -
We live in Houston & being a weeknight…we did not wish to spend the night at the hotel, so we drove 60-miles to and from… BUT Shearn’s food and service made it 100% worthwhile the trip. The restaurant is what we would call ‘old world’, in that everything is top-notch - from the servers, food being brought to your table on serving carts, to the outstanding quality of food served. We have never had a meal that was not perfection! Our server, Sergio was the best! We had such a wonderful time - we made reservations for Valentine’s Day for us and our Son & DIL.
The lobster bisque was some of the best my wife and I have ever had with plenty of lobster, the prosciutto scallops were the best and biggest scallops I’ve ever seen, the crab cakes were good but had a lot of breading, and the lobster Mac and cheese was okay. The service was phenomenal and the sunset was gorgeous. They got us right in without a reservation and were very respectful. The waiter Donavan had phenomenal recommendations. We will definitely be back again when in Galveston
I went to Shearn’s for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. I had just discovered the restaurant on-line. I requested a table by the windows, and wow, what an incredible view. It’s gorgeous there. The ambiance is equally inviting. The hostess and all the servers were so welcoming and friendly. They made us all feel really special and gave us not just excellent food and drinks, but a wonderful and memorable experience.
Excellent service and the duck was fantastic. I had she crab soup to start and it was full of tender crab meat. We finished with the opera cake and it was so good my wife is trying to replicate it at home! We will definitely be back!
My husband and I love sheared. We stumbled across this place on accident three years ago on our first marriage anniversary and as a tradition alway come back. The lobster potatoes are DELICIOUS! Ribeye always cooked to perfection. The coffee is great with the signature chocolate cake. If you are looking for the perfect anniversary restaurant this is it.
