Loved the pizza and the bacon spinach tortellini. However, I absolutely dislike it when the gratuity is automatically added when you have a party of 8 or more and it's because if the waitress knows she's getting a tip no matter what then she can slack off on her job like our waitress did. She refilled our tea and water once and that's it. We had to ask several other times. She also sent another waiter over to tell us our appirizers would be out shortly. I will usually always tip even with a not so great waitress or waiter but I will leave a less than 20% tip. So for someone to get a huge tip and didn't earn a 20% tip earks me. I usually reserve a 20% tip to those outstanding waiters/waitresses. Otherwise the food was delicious just had not so good service.
The Service was fantastic from the time we walked in the door! We took our time and ordered the brochette to start. The bread was just toasted enough that it would break off just right as you bite into it! The Tex-Itali lasagna was just fantastic! I would highly recommend this place for anniversary, casual dining, or a group of friends! Don't forget to sample their many flavors of in-house gelato!
Bruce was our waiter earlier this week for dinner, and he gave us EXCEPTIONAL service. I honestly can’t remember the last time we had such an incredible server. My family ordered an appetizer: toasted ravioli, 2 entrees with Caesar salads: pasta with veggies and lobster fettuccine, a pizza, and a dessert: red velvet cake. The food was SO SO good and we greatly appreciated Bruce’s hospitality. Thank you for the perfect dining experience!
We came down for vacation and happened to be referred to a little Italian restaurant at the end of the island. We were amazed! The food was outstanding and full of flavor. We had lobster Mac and cheese and the Seafood Mixed grill. Both were amazing. The true star of the show was our new friend, Peter. Peter was so welcoming and gave us a heart-filled tour of the menu, telling us with a warm smile the popular dishes as well as his personal favorites. He had amazing attention to detail, always was attentive, and truly seems to love his work and the people he meets. If you are just visiting or a local, please do yourselves the favor of sitting at one of Peter’s tables. I promise you won’t regret it.
Great home-made Italian food and gelato. My family and I came here for the first time after driving around looking for a good spot. This is most definitely the best choice off the seawall Galveston. Exceptional staff and service. Great portions, kids' meals, and free parking. I highly recommend it. Also, nice patio seating.
This is my favorite pizza place. The service was great. The service girl was very nice and always on point on whatever we needed. The pizza is the best pizza i had. i recommend the Brooklyn style pizza. i love that you can get some pizza and have a nice view of the beach. I would love to come eat here again. my favorite place in Galveston.
Our server was Thomas, and he gave impeccable service. He was kind, funny, charming, and was the most attentive server we have had in a long time. I have celiac and am on a strict gluten free diet. The staff were very accommodating in knowing which menu items could be made to order gluten free. I got a gluten free lasagna pizza and when I tell you it is by far the BEST GF pizza I have ever had in my life...it's no joke. On non GF we also got an Italian pizza, it was a little greasy but the ingredients were on point fresh and delicious! Our group also got a margarita pizza that I was told was out of this world crazy good. And we got the grouper with angel hair and I was told it was the best fish he has ever had. They did not have any gluten free deserts, but the table shared a slice of cheesecake and Italian creme cake and I was told both were supreme perfection. The cost was $134 including 2 hard ciders and 3 soft drinks. 100% reasonable pricing, AMAZING food and stellar service. I love that you have a certified GF kitchen, I felt more than safe selecting from your menu options. I recommend Mario's seawall Italian restaurant to anyone. 10+ stars!! We will be back for sure!
Outstanding. Food was amazing, some of the best Italian food I have had in quite a long while. I got their medium deep dish The Joey to share with my friend and we struggled to finish it between the two of us but it was heavenly.
Their staff is wonderful and there is such history and pride in the place. It is family owned and they truly care. Wonderful dessert selection too, we much enjoyed the Gelato with the summer heat. 10/10 will visit again and is my new favorite restaurant in Galveston hands down.

Delicious, fresh, and fun servers. Could only be more Italian if we were in Italy! My eyes closed, and I would not believe the Gulf of Mexico is across the street. Will return next time in Galveston. Our fun elderly waiter was attentive without being intrusive! We enjoyed talking to him!
We are in town for a small vacation and our group decided it was time for lunch. My co-worker who has been coming here for 50+ years said this is a must in Galveston and boy did they not disappoint! My daughter got the Alfredo (the sauce was unlike any I’ve ever had, so delicious), I got the lunch Momma Mia Slice and was not expecting the size, but it was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, my husband got the fried calamari and blackened shrimp and he said it was fantastic! Erica was our waitress and checked on us often. She took my daughter to get her free scoop of ice cream (homemade gelato)-for a kid who doesn’t like ice cream she was very fond of it! Mario’s is definitely a great spot to enjoy!
Came here for my daughters birthday. Service was top notch. Food was good just not spectacular. The bruschetta was disappointing, especially for a restaurant that is known for Italian dishes.
Great Italian pizza, perfect wine and amazing service , definitely would recommend. The guy who served us was very helpful and knowledgeable and helped with the menu selection.
