Sushi has always been my favorite food. This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant I have ever been to, and I've been to a lot! Never would have guessed it'd be in Gainesville, FL. Dragonfly is great, but Volcanic Sushi is perfection. I never write reviews, but I felt the need to draft one for this hole-in-the-wall because it is such a hidden gem, and more people need to know about it. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh. Most of all, the sushi chefs and owner are so extraordinarily passionate about their craft that it makes it so much more rewarding. Can't stress this recommendation enough! Definitely a must-try.
Drove from Ocala to try Volcanic Sushi & Sake per a friend's recommendation....Amazing sushi, genuine hospitality....overall worth the drive and prices were on point. Definitely will be back and will recommend this place to everyone!
One of my favorite sushi places with a variety of non-sushi options. Caroline bites are our favorite appetizer, give them a shot! They also have an outdoor (covered) eating area. We eat here fairly often since they moved to their new location. Every time we've gone to eat in the patio area we've had a wonderful experience and we recommend it to the everyone!
If you know me, you know I adore Volcanic Sushi and Sake. However, my boyfriend and I have always gone to the other location. But we decided to take a stab at this one. The location is in the cutest plaza and has a great ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. We both opted for the lunch combos, a GREAT bang for your buck. I got the combo #5, which was 13 or so dollars for 3 rolls, 6 pieces each (pictured). A normal roll will be costing around the same amount depending on your choice, so the lunch combos, while limited roll options, are the way to go. We got our green tea cheesecake to go this time. Highly recommend!

Amazinggg Duck Ramen, Husband ordered Duck Ramen but substituted for Pork in it & that pork is succelent, sooo delicious i'll order it that way from now on, but either way is awesome!
We ordered off GrubHub for pick up and were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait by the app. When we arrived to pick up our food the woman at the register was very kind and apologetic and said that it was supposed to be a 40 minute wait time. I don't even remember how long we actually ended up waiting because the woman was just so amazing at her job that it didn't even matter. She checked on us multiple times and really made us feel like she cared that we had to wait. We ordered 6 sushi rolls and a bunch of appetizers. The food was amazing, but the service was top notch.
Great outside meal. Rolls were amazing and they customize them if you want (I switched out salmon for tuna). Pleasant staff. Felt terrible for manger when person in table in front was terribly rude. But a few tables told her she was so respectful even when he didn’t deserve it. Great location, easy parking, quickly becoming a favorite!!
