Awesome authentic Mexican food and sooooo very reasonably priced! This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! Four of us all ordered something different and we loved it! Chips and salsa were also super fresh and flavorful and they had one of the best queso dips I have ever eaten.... Can't wait to go back!
Just love this place. Been here a number of times and had a wonderful experience every time. 3 tacos for $6 is the best deal for me(beats any Taco Tuesday deal IMO) but their meals are excellent as well. Have tried a few of them and each had a unique flavor of its own!
Enjoyed this restaurant. Lots of seating. Paper menus would be nice as the menu board is in an odd spot and up high. Food was all delicious. Music would be nice in there . Theres seating outside as well.
The Birria Tacos are amazing. Crunchy tortilla. The cheese is nice and creamy and the sauce has all the right flavors
La Tienda its just the perfect place if you want to eat real authentic mexican food. We started off with a trio of Guacamole, Queso Fundido, and Salsa. We ordered 6 Tacos and the Birra Tacos were the best by far. The Camarones a la Diabla were also very rich in flavor. However, the reason for the 4 starts is due to the slow service, the kitchen to table execution could have been much better. Overall, amazing food.
My family loved it . Prices are great and very flavorful dishes! Photo is of a steak taco salad and a sope topped with chicken. Service is quick and they offer out door seating !
This place is always a great experience. The price for the food for the portion you get is fantastic and the quality is not only consistent but it is consistently great! I have never had a bad dish or experience here. Be it eat in or take home. A cute little bonus is the back grocery store they have. They are also super realistic about wait time/pick up time. Obviously because this is a gem lunch hour is always swamped but everything is still put out in great timing. I have never waited more than 20 minutes for food even when packed. My family and I have been going to this place since we moved 7 years ago. Do yourself a favor and eat here, and definitely work your way across the menu you wont be disappointed.
I wish I lived closer to try all their menu items. I had carnitas tacos and the pork was very well marinated, not too greasy and the portion was generous. Very authentic feel to the restaurant. It's a mexican store extended with plenty of tables indoors and around the wraparound porch of the restaurant. Amazing food and great place to relax and have a beer on any given day!
I went to La Tienda this weekend, and had a great experience as per usual. This local latin restaurant is always clean, the atmosphere fits the fun latin flare, but is relaxed enough to stop by just for a quick bite to eat and the staff are always friendly. I went with my friend and we always have to get an order of chips and salsa to share because the salsa ingredients are so fresh, and the chips always come out hot and crispy. By far our favorite salsa in Gainesville. My favorite recommendation is the pollo tacos, I order them each time I come and I am always satisfied. You get three corn tortillas, piled high with pulled chicken, onions and cilantro toppings. So delicious and filling. I recommend La Tienda to anyone coming to Gainesville looking for the perfect place to eat for lunch or dinner, if you want the fun casual dining experience of a local restaurant in your favorite college town.
Great food and quick service. This is one of my favorite restaurants ANYWHERE. It doesn't disappoint!
