Mojo Hogtown BBQ has hip vibes and tasty ribs. Portions are huge. We had the two meat combos, including north carolina pork, st louis spare ribs, and beef brisket. The brisket was tender. The sides were delicious too. Baked beans were surprisingly good. We recommend this place to anyone looking for good bbq and drinks.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for amazing bbq food! Located in downtown Gainesville near the university. I ordered the ribs and it was so delicious and they brought out about 6 different sauces to flavor my ribs with. The mac and cheese and fries also made good sides (comes with two of your choice). The drinks here are great as well! Definitely stop by!

If you are looking for authentic bbq, this is your place! They have real NC bbq, the catfish is clean and crispy, the drink menu is extensive, and the atmosphere is great! Our service was fast and friendly too.

Huge place that has a bar filled with what looks like ever bourbon bottle on the market. The menu is simple but filled with many tasty treats. We had the fried pickles and onion rings to start. Both had a nice flavor and the dipping sauces were where it was all at. I would have preferred both to me a little.more cooked to provide a crisp but they were all eaten so they must have been good. I had the MOJO chicken platter. The chicken was nice and juicy and covered in cheese and bacon and ononions. It was amazing. A little disappointed in the jalapeño corn bread, it was very dry and no jalapeño pieces or flavor. My mom had the smoked turkey whi h she also said was very good and nice flavor and my dad had the brisket sandwich which he loved. I will be back!!

This was "GREAT" stop!!! We showed up around 4 p.m. and the place was nearly empty which was expected as Monday and Tuesday in the restaurant business tends to be low revenue days. The Hostess that greeted us did a FANTASTIC job very personal and accommodating. I am a large man 6'4" 290lbs with a petite wife who loves booths. The Hostess managed to move around a seat of a booth to accommodate us. Customer Service at it's best. We were in our seats less than two minutes when Steven (our Server who is Top-Notch) arrived to welcome us. He took our drink order and to answer all the questions about the menu, he informed us what items the kitchen was out and to recommend his favorites. We ordered and our food came out with no long wait and not only did everything look fantastic and after a prayer we dove into our mealsand they tasted just as good. I ordered a brisket platter with black eye peas , home cut fries and Rexas Toast and myordered a "pick two platter (bbq chicken and brisket) collard greens, sweet potatoes and texas toast.. The only surprise of the day was being told they had no ribs ... ponder on thar America. Due to this current White House Administration holding firm on the out dated injection mandate the supply chain has been broken by half of the dock workers refusing the shot backed by thousands of truck drivers also refusing the injection. But enough of that! We would suggest to everyone that have not tried MOJO Hogtown to come and give it a try .... We will be back.

Amazing bbq in Gainesville. Holds their own against the best. The burnt ends and brisket are outstanding. All the sides were great too: chili, fries, slaw, cheddar grits, mac and cheese.

The wings were bomb! I ended up going with the smoked chicken, collared greens and pit beans. All were really good. Solid beer selection on tap as well.
